We've had threads here about racial make up of friendships. Very few black men around here say they have white male friends. So if that was a black man marrying interracially, I'd wouldn't expect to see white groomsmen unless perhaps, PERHAPS, he had business partners or something that were white. Unless a man has lived in a particular country it is often the case that they rarely immerse themselves in the culture. It is women who when marrying outside their race see to learn so they can fit in, get along with their mothers, etc because they are the social ones and have the burden of smoothing relationships, taking care of him like mama did (fixing favorite dishes, etc).
Here on BGOL we don't even explore the possible reasons for black men preferring white women beyond black women driving them to it, or perhaps a bit about reaching for white ideals/status symbols, yet we want to draw conclusions about him and make assumptions based on who he hangs out with. What is the reason the guys around here don't have white male friends? How many sports figures with white wives do you see hanging out with white guys who are not team mates?
Regardless, I understand why the comment was phrased that way. I just wanted to draw attention to the descriptive language used. Black women are supposed to be the baddest on the block, but it is always a surprise and seen as a negative when someone not black wants us. Let a black man chase someone not black though, and y'all *full* of understanding.

My dad is black and my mom is white. On their wedding picture when they got married in Accra, Ghana my dad hometown. They both had their immediate familes on the photo. A mixture of both black and white. Everyone look happy. Fast forward now to them being married for over 40 years they still are happily married.
My dad met my mom when they were in grammar school, they have known each other for basically their whole life. My dad and his parents moved to Canada when he entered grammar school.

Neely Fuller Jr calls sex between whites and non whites gutter sex. It took me a while to figure out why. On the surface you could say non whites aren't viewed as being able to make adult decisions without a white person present in some form to cosign the decision. Making whites the only adults under this system so sex between whites and non whites is akin to molestation.
