what can I use to read my Gmail a password that I cannot remember

I have forgotten the password to my old gmail account. I can see "......" when I try to log in under that
account, but I do not remember what the password is. It all started when I had to buy a new Samsung
phone. I tried to change the password, but could not remember it, and Google finally would not allow
me to change it, after so many attempts. I can long into that account because the Windows has stored
the password, but it populates as "......"; When I try to change it, Google takes me to the 2 step
process, but because of my earlier failures to log in, it will not let me change it....

Does anyone know an app that can show the actual characters of that password, that way I can get
through the fucking 2 step verification..?
 
Open the website for which your browser has the saved password, then right click on the password box and click Inspect element.

A code like this would be displayed:-

< input type="password" class="inputtext" name="pass" id="pass">

Change the type from password to text so that the code looks like:-

< input type="text" class="inputtext" name="pass" id="pass">

Your password would be immediately visible.

If you are using Firefox go to options then select security then click on saved passwords and choose the option to show the passwords.
