Longtime NFL running back Adrian Peterson was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge today.

Peterson, who had been in Los Angeles for pre-Super Bowl festivities, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after an incident with his wife on a plane that was about to take off, according to TMZ.com.

The report says the plane had already pulled out of the gate and then had to turn around and return to the gate so Peterson could be removed from the plane.

This is not the first time Peterson has been in trouble for family violence. He pleaded no contest to a charge that he abused his 4-year-old son in 2014 and was suspended or on the exempt list for all but one game of that season.

Peterson played in three games for the Titans and one for the Seahawks this season. He has previously played for the Lions, Washington, Saints, Cardinals and Vikings. He was ineffective in limited action in 2021 and his NFL career is likely over.

He deserved to be suspended, his son said Adrian Peterson liked belts and switches and even named a room “the whooping room”. Peterson seemed proud of it when asked later and a couple years later said he still hits his son with a belt. I know Dudes talking about how they were whooped with switches as a child and I was too but you don’t whoop a FOUR YEAR OLD like this

in the article I read earlier they only mentioned a verbal argument but if he got arrested for FELONY domestic violence he must’ve slapped or was choking her…smh

His career is officially over. My statement was how I don't think his hall of fame chances are necessarily dead. I say that because over time people will start to forget about this current incident,especially if it looks like he changed his ways, so to speak.

Also, it's going to be a very interesting conversation if you have two hall of famers that got caught/accused of showing their privates to unwilling women (Peyton Manning and Brett Favre), prior to winning first ballot. A future hall of famer with MULTIPLE rape accusations, which most people seem to have forgotten, yet AP is supposed to be completely denied for his transgressions?
