There is a market for real hip hop, the phony just needs to continue to get exposed. There is already an underground grassroots movement attacking the Clear Channel monster. People in the streets actually want to hear less thug, pimp, hustling drugs, baby mama drama, and jewelry mess. People out here have
kids and they don't like the fact that Clear Channel(along with Viacom) is in the business of promoting "opinions" and "values" to the minds of our very impressionable youth. A responsible community can't overlook that period.
I am not mad at cats who made it of the same thug, hoes, drugs, clubbing, and balling formula that is now
THE STANDARD. The problem is that crackkas are telling the DJ's
what to play. Also there is no balance in what gets played. Back in the day it was the DJ who used to break the records to the public(you youngins do not know shit about that

). The aspect of the DJ bringing out new talent was a hip-hop staple for a long time. That aspect of hip hop is now
dead and buried. Corporations decide what gets on the air. The DJ is just a front now. The ones who grind in the clubs are keeping it alive. The ones on the airwaves are faking the funk.
On a side note: I
personally believe Clear Channel is a division of the US milliatary. One way to subjugate a people is to control what they can listen to. Keep them on some petty, fantasy, and brain-dead shit. Music is a powerful tool. Right now the enemy is using it to oppress us. We need to take it back to the streets so that it will free us. We will never have a real revolution unless we have the music. Right now Clear Channel and Viacom all play
reactionary music.
