I think the TV series is going to fail because folks have this hatred towards JK Rowling. It's not just the fans but other authors as well. You got authors saying she's a terrible writer yet years earlier they were all over her... Hell,even some of the original cast members act like she killed a puppy.
Also,when the movies came out people were like it's good but they they're not like books. Now,they're trying to make the TV series close to the books people trying to hate on it.

Lol that's just the internet man, Hogwarts legacy sold like crazy and that had a full campaign against it.
If you're into potter in any way it's outstanding, it's honestly everything a fan could have hoped for from such a massive souless company like Warner bros lol it's fun.
As someone who didn't read the books until a few years ago, I'll admit that I never liked those movies.
The casting and visual representation of the school were their only strong point. The plots skip over so much that it makes the story a mess by the last 3 movies. After finally reading the books I hate those movies even more.
I'm really looking forward to a TV show that can take its time and really flesh out the side characters and stories that the movies didn't have time to do correctly or at all.
And I don't give two shit about what JK Rowlings has to say about Trans people. Her opinions ain't going effect my enjoyment one bit
