Walmart could have easily got around that by saying that all profits from the ice-cream sale would be given to black run charities in the state...

I understand the intent.
But Walmart has been around long enough to know if you gonna do something to honor Black Americans….go ask Black Americans for advice on how to do it.
There are plenty of Black owned consulting groups they could have went to in order to get suggestions on how to do something without it being offensive.
It makes you wonder how these corporations get anything done and make a profit.

This wasn't honor. This was a cash grab.
They would have also had to do it with their Pride ice cream, which is probably already a stretch for Walmart to try. We just saw the other day how people lost their mind on how State Farm was supporting GenderCool it would have been another Disney moment if Walmart tried similar.
