Is it worth it to switch from regular LAN Lines to Cable Phone Service? I remember i use to use DIALPAD back in the day and there was usually a LAG in responces or if I was Downloading something, it would sound really fucked up. That was with Dial Up. Does the same shit happen with Cable and DSL?

One word. YES!

No lag during downloads however if you are doing torrents, you will have issues with folk hearing you on the phone. Sometimes big downloads will rumple the voice sometimes but not generally. At least not in my expierence anyway. But torrents always fuck it up no matter how small the download is.

Vonage is the truth.

I have Vonage on a FIOS line... it sounds the same as a land line... When i had cable internet I would get performance hits if i was downloading a large file but with FIOS its all good. $25 unlimited ling distance... cant beat that.
