Amid the scuffle, a knife was taken away from a student, according to SILive. But according to the report, blood seen in the footage was due to a student’s nosebleed, not any slashing.
A Department of Education statement to the outlet said that “no one was stabbed,” but did not divulge more information.

A 14-year-old girl was taken into custody in the wake of the fight, but had not been charged at this point, according to the New York Post.
In the video, brawling students pushed up against a doorway, as safety officers tried to get in between it, and staff attempted, unsuccessfully, to push the crowd away from watching and filming.
School safety agents were also seen diving onto the ground to try and stop students from fighting.
The video made the rounds on social media, with NYC Councilman Joe Borelli posting it, asking Mayor Bill de Blasio, “I demand to know what happened at Wagner HS today and whether or not they were short of School Safety Agents due to the vaccine mandate? God help those agents and staff trying to intervene.”

Borelli then said, “Just a preview of what the vaccine mandate will look like when it affects all city workers.”
The city Department of Education responded to the fight in a statement, saying, "Violence of any kind has no place in our schools and School Safety Agents and school staff immediately worked to deescalate this situation and ensured no students were injured. We are working with NYPD regarding follow up actions and appropriate consequences will be addressed."
The chaos comes after a total of five guns were reportedly recovered from students in city schools just over the past three days.
A comment from the union that represents school safety officers wasn't immediately available.
