:smh:That didn't look scripted either. I hope Floyd's mind is right going into that fight because whether or not he boxes circles around Ortiz, dude is going to be in his face all night. That Ortiz kid seems a tad off to me.

True but let's remember who we're talking about. Sr and Jr probably have that argument every couple weeks. Win or lose, it'll be about what happens in the ring not Argument #574 with his old man.

In all the years they've been doing 24/7s and Countdowns, I've never seen Roger so quiet. Even he was uncomfortable with that argument.

That was ugly:lol:.

I'm not buying any of that shit about them not scounting Ortiz. They already established that Roger and the trainers watch tape on his opponents but Floyd doesn't. But it makes good soundbites.

Floyd went in.

Those dudes are always playing games about the behind the scenes prep. I believe that they sweat every detail

honestly I've never seen such an argument between father & son....

Floyd was going in...that was years built up in him.....:smh:

anyway Floyd looks like he is ready to fight today....cat is always in great shape as a fighter....

I thought the fight was huge but I think it was overblown. People have to realize that just because someone provided a sperm or egg to have you doesn't make them a parent. Mayweather Sr. could have been a huge roadblock in Mayweather Jr.'s way which is why he reacted so fiercely when Mayweather Sr. tried to take credit. Floyd lived through all this...there's no telling what his dad has done to him and his family...he was/is a junkie. So I can't say that Floyd is wrong for saying what he said because I would say the same shit to my biological father if he tried to take credit for anything in my life.

It was ugly but I could see it coming. Mayweather Sr is always trying to put himself above the fighters that he trains and has even gone as far to say that certain guys simply can't win without him. The way he toots his own horn as the greatest trainer ever is just as baseless as people saying Mayweather Jr is the greatest anything ever. But these guys are smart because the easiest way to get the masses to think you are the greatest is to open your mouth and say it like Ali did. If Ali didn't go around promoting himself as the greatest like he did, his legend would not be as great as it is today. You repeat things enough times to the masses and they believe it.

Anyway, of course Mayweather Jr was going to eventually get tired of Senior trying to take credit when Senior wasn't even his damn trainer for the majority of his success or professional boxing career. It was ugly but the only way to put Senior in his place was to be as harsh as possible. Mayweather knows his father and deserves more respect than having to hear crap from some guy who doesn't even train him trying to take credit for his success and hinting Junior wouldn't be anything without him.

He probably just been through it so many times he's like "fuck it"

The reason Sr. Takes credit is because he basically put Floyd in training camp from age 4. His sister said Floyd was never allowed to eat candy or go out and play. He treated him like world class fighter when he was a damn toddler. Floyd has alot of animosity because he never got to be a kid. I know deep down Floyd knows his dad is kind of responsible for his success because without being raised like a damn robot he probably wouldn't be in a position where he's in so great of shape because training wouldn't come so natural to him.

I don't know. That wasn't the look I saw in his eyes. I'm sure there was some of that, had to be. But, like a lot of younger brothers, he probably still looks up to Sr and he's taken on Jr like his own son and friend, not just a nephew/fighter he trains.

I agree with you. Floyd Jr has to know that but he has to be over-tired of hearing his father take credit for his career when he trained him for so little of it. Call yourself "the greatest trainer in the world" if you want but recognize that Jr is a Roger Mayweather product more than anyone else, seems to be his stance.

I just dont get a motherfucker who sit there and say him and 50 Cent down for life and until they die and all this fucking shit, and then you talk to ya daddy like a fucking dog. Man, get the fuck out of here, man. What has that motherfucker [50 Cent] done for you?

..............
In 13 years, I have made 7 world champions. Let him tell you how many Roger have made. I didnt get mad until he started talking about get out of my gym

PC: Well, Im glad it didnt come to that because I never want to see a father and son go at it like that. Have you guys patched it up now?

FM: Who? Me and Lil Floyd?

PC: Yeah!

FM: Man, fuck no. Lil Floyd done let money go to his head, man, and when you let money rule your life, you either gotta have a rude awakening or you have to go broke. Im not saying I want to see either one of them happen, but money is the root of all evil. But like I said, let me tell you something man, he called me a faggot or some shit like that. He would have seen who the sissy or faggot was if he would have ran up on me. He call me a faggot, but he talking about 50 Cent like they friends to the end. Im not even sure he really knows that dude like that, man. I heard Oscar De La Hoya had put something out there about me saying I wasnt in the wrong.

Damn...Floyd Jr did not have to go there with his dad. :smh:

But I can understand the pain Floyd is coming with.

I swear when Floyd jr is in the ring wuppin ass he's thinking about his dad. Floyd seems to have a lot of pent up rage. If Floyd still feels like this in 3 weeks, I feel sorry for Ortiz. Then again that ninjas parents abandoned him.:smh:

As I pops how else can a dude see it. To me PBF was wrong. He could have just shut the fuck up and let dad be dad. That's what I would expect.

Who his dad could stop disrespecting his grown son and brother (who never, ever speaks ill of him in public) and let them have their camp.
If there was a Mayweather wrong, it was the Senior.

Just watched the replay with the additional, day of the fight 24/7 footage and damn, Floyd was mindfucking Ortiz from the beginning. The faceoff and throat grab at the weigh in. Leonard Ellerbe coming to the handwrapping late and making them re-wrap his hand. And it confirmed that Ortiz trainer was out of his depth. When he told Victor "If he does counter, don't worry, he doesn't punch hard." WHAT?! Floyd may not be a ko artist but he clearly punches hard enough, you don't see fighters rushing in and disrespecting his power like they do Paulie Malignaggi.
