The federal minimum wage is unlivable, especially in an expensive metropolis like New York City. Food delivery app couriers don’t even make the state’s minimum wage of $15 per hour currently, and the multi-million dollar companies they work for are pursuing legal action to ensure they won’t reach that point. Ali Velshi explains why it is necessary these couriers who were once deemed essential, get paid fairly.

I don’t usually pocket watch but I was trying to make a point by referring to how much Ali makes.

The best that I can tell, it states that he makes about 80K per year.

Welp…….there goes the point I was trying to make.

Carry on……

All these companies claiming folks are self-employed are taking too much profit off them. Uber and all that shit need to either pay them hourly on top of what they make or let the. Keep more of their money. Billion dollar company nickel and diming gig workers. Bullshit. Pay up! If they all stop driving for a week they’d lose zillions.

Agreed. Listening to podcasts ... I'm not a fan of the Uber ad spots excitedly noting to "Earn like a boss" ...
