Valve's Orange Box Outsells Halo 3 (these are first week sales comparisons not total sold)

According to VG Chartz, Valve's Orange Box sold some 348,049 copies on the Xbox 360 in its first week. That was enough to beat out Halo 3 (285,860 copies) for the top console spot.

Orange Box may be a top seller, but few play it online

Recent sales figures may have shown that Orange Box could have outsold Halo 3 last week, but online Live stats reveal a different picture. Major Nelson has denoted that Halo 3 topped Xbox 360's top Live titles while Orange Box could only enter in at number 9 behind the VF 5 demo, PGR 4 demo and The Simpsons Demo.

i guess a game just cant have good offline play too now a days? i'm having fun with portal and playing half life 2 for the first time, havent even thought about trying to go fortress 2 yet, but thats just me...

Also, Orange Box is coming with some really good single player games. When I picked up HalfLife 1 and then 2, it was all about the main game; i finished the game before i even thought about playing the multiplayer.

That's probably also the reason so many people are buying the Orange Box. For the regular game play.
