R.I.P. to a great actor.
He probably lived a lot longer than expected after that diagnosis and was even able to have a farewell run of acting roles.
He had so many great roles in films like Heat, Tombstone, Real Genius, Top Gun, The Doors, etc.

Every role this great actor took on he did it to a T.
I was always amazed by his performance as Jim Morrison in The Doors. Real Genius,Top Gun,Batman Forever, Tombstone and Willow. I'm glad he was in Top Gun : Maverick I had even hoped he would make an appearance in the short lived Willow TV series. Oh man and in Heat teamed up with an amazing cast in one of the greatest crime dramas ever. He will be greatly missed.

The ghost in the darkness was a good ass movie. The wildest thing about that movie is it was true.
The benefit of performers and creatives of any sort is their work lives on far after the day they are removed from the census. For actors and writers of movies All we have to do is push play to bring them back to life.
I think I'm going to have a Val kilmer movie celebration tomorrow while I'm at work working from home. It'll just be playing in the background.

RIP to Val Kilmer!!..He was a really good actor!!..I like him in Tombstone as Doc Holiday, Iceman in Top Gun, and that wild nerdy kid in Real Genius!!.
