Don't laugh too soon ... :hmm:

Fed's gotta go through Novak and Del ... they're not pushovers.

Rafa was clearly not 100%.

Del Porto played a heck of a game. He deserved to win.

repin' for the 6'6"

True indeed. I usually don't laugh or say things when whoever I'm rooting for is still yet to play, but I just wanted to come in and laugh at you since you made this a Rafa tribute thread. When I saw he lost, was like damn, East Coast is gonna be pissed......Anyway, we'll see what happens though. As you know I'll be rooting for Roger (while watching the Giants game). Tell me this though, who would you like to see win it now since Rafa is gone?

Yoooooo.

:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave @ Fed.

That between the legs winner in the final game of the 3rd set ...:eek::eek:

Love the game too much to hate ... gotta give props.

I'd like to see Del Porto win. He's a good kid and plays with heart. We tall guys gotta stick together too.

Plus he had quite a run in the US Open series leading up to this ...

It's gonna be a great match. I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow :dance::dance::dance:

I didn't see the match, but I saw the score pop up on ESPN. Props to Del Potro. I hope Roger gets back on track the next time he steps on the court. I heard he had an outburst during the match as well. They say it wasn't like Serena's, but it still had to be something for him to flip out. Sean what up with Rafa's health? Did he just lose that match, or was he still looking like he's less than 100% in addition to what Del Potro did?

Rafa isn't 100%. His knee is still sore and he's been dealing with an abdominal strain. Granted, Del Portro played like a beast. He's the real deal.

Fed aint going no where. He's easily tipped to make it to the Ausy Open next year if not win the damn thing. And on grass no one is seeing him right now.

It's gonna be interesting though ...

Me n wifey have recently picked up the game and watching these US Open matches really sparked an interest....Even though he took an L the dude Monfils is a beast, but Nadal took his ass to school...alot of great matches nonetheless

Mofils needs a good strategy coach. He's mad athletic and his game has actually improved and is more polished than a couple years ago.
Nadals baseline game was well suited for Monfil's but Nadal can play power tennis for 20 hrs non stop and he never gives up on a play. He wore Monfils out basically.
Fed is more of a tactical finess player though he's picked up his upper body strength which makes that one-handed backhand passing shot butter.

IMO, only way you have a chance at beating Fed is if you keep switching it up, play mad aggressive and keep him out of rhythm. Going stroke for stroke with Fed is suicide. :itsawrap:
