Excellent, I was in the Army also, I made it to E-7/SFC in 9 years. Every time I was promoted and passed a peckerwood, the comment was you are the token/affirmative action choice. They never looked at my record vs. their record. I took the hard assignment; I went to advanced training, and went to college at the same time. To this very day I still believe what my Aunt's and Granny told me. “I have to be twice as good as the other-man to get any consideration as a brother-man.” (Revised version of what was acctually said.)
