UFO observed on the Moon by Italian Astronomers

It's not all that out of the realm of possibility.
For example if Earth had the technology for inter stellar travel across space and we happened to come upon a planet that was teaming with resources and life we would set up a base on a neighboring moon, planet, or even on that planet we're surveying.
I would presume this would be the exact protocol for any other intelligent ife form in the Universe.

The Department of Defense provides funding to NASA. So in essence NASA isn't really a civilian run operation. And an organization like that would never be totally controlled by civilians, too many things could leak that they wouldn't want the public to know about.
I agree there is the possibility but I feel since the moon is under constant observation movement or signs of movement would've been discovered long ago.
Definitely, but you have to realize the people who are observing the movements. You have to realize the HIGH probability that this is a joint effort and every Nation with substantial power knows about it and they are all keeping it quiet for now.
Everything that is viewed is deemed as top secrets but on occasion there are things that get out. The same bullshit line that "people will not be able to handle it" worked in the 50's won't fly in the 07. People are more than willing to accept it mainly due to all the Alien oriented movies that have been created over the last 50 years to subconsciously bring the public up to a point where they won't be threatened by seeing a UFO.
In my opinion they say we can't handle it because they themselves are already enjoying the fruits of their labor. They have harnessed the Alien technology given to them that could change the world. If they come out and admitted to it now they're in trouble because the public isn't stupid, we have a feeling that they know more than they're telling.
The only way they would reveal to the public that their is an Alien presence is if it only catered to their interest, not ours. I'm not sure who is telling the truth but there have been some people who have claimed that some species have wanted to reveal their presence to mankind but the world governments didn't allow it. So instead they take regular people off the street to raise our awareness.
Oh and another thing, UFO's have the ability to dematerialize (turn invisible). So they could be positioned over major cities and you wouldn't even know.

Just got home and watched it.
Two things an dyes im analyzin the shit. I used to track airborne craft in the airforce and collect communiques.. any who.
1) The object appeared to be above the moon and not flying low over it.
2) It's orbit wasn't erratic, like most earthbound UFO cases are.
3) It's orbit never decayed it stayed the same thruought.
4) I guessed it wasnt low over the moon when it's shadow dimpled over a crater.
5) It was patient and no hurried in it's pattern.
6) That movement is called a Searching Chandelle. Where a craft doubles back and over it's area of operation.
7) That "craft" if it was real was searching for something. or on patrol.
if that was a neat little camera and premiere trick. whoever did it, did a damn good job.

I don't see the point of SETI, especially when the human race is already in contact with multiple alien races already, and without the aid of SETI.
The likely hood that alien species already know about us is high, the likely hood they have known about us for thousands to millions of years is just as high.
