Turpentine as medicine.

I don't think anyone should be locked up for using time honored and tested methods that whites say were bad for you. It worked. Our ancestors have been healing their children without the aid of whites medicines for millenia. Using what was provided for. Many of the things though used in today's manmade things have naturals in them. And it's the use of those naturals readily available that was used for the cure. Or abatement of the ailment. I don't like how dependent we as black people have become on what whites say is good for us. And what they try to convince us to ingest. Practicing various crafts and rituals meant for healing are outlawed because of the whites disconnect from nature.

Mr Mo, i agree that those things did work. We're here and kicking because our grandmiers took care of us with old world remedies when modern medicine did nothing.

You continue to intrigue, are you saying you do your own acupuncture?

Yes I do. I'm very well versed in Japanese and Chinese traditional medicine and acupressure.I very rarely needle myself (though I have) because you can do the same things without needles. You have to know the points and techniques to get the same results without needles, but once you do you are good. I rehabbed my back post car accident with exercise, acupressure, and acupuncture. I have no lingering dysfunction and I really credit that to working on it EVERYDAY with movement and acupressure until it cleared up rather than just suppressing pain. That's pretty much all the doctor could do for me was give me a pain med script that I wasn't going to use. Once I knew nothing was broken, I hooked up my own therapy! :)

Alternative Ways, Meds > "Modern" medicines any day if you ask me. Like i said before, there's nothing wrong with us that can't be solved or fixed naturally.
