When the Republican National Convention kicks off next Monday, Donald Trump will have a “surprise” role on its first day, people familiar with the matter said Sunday evening.

Trump has generated some buzz with recent posts on Twitter saying he was planning a “big surprise” at the convention next week. But for the first time sources are confirming Republicans will indeed enlist Trump to be part of their opening day act.

Trump’s appearance will come on a day with a theme titled, “We Can Do Better,” which appears likely to amount to a coordinated attack on Obama’s time in office.

Republican birther theorist and billionaire businessman, Donald Trump announced on Fox and Friends a giant October surprise will come Wednesday. While the vocal Romney supporter has been mum regarding topic, he did slip a few hints:

·“It’s going to be very big. [Media] will cover it in a very big fashion.”

·The big surprise could possibly play a role in November’s election.

·The announcement will probably come via Twitter.

Trump, who has been extremely vocal in asserting the president’s birth certificate is fake, would not confirm whether his ‘big news’ had any relationship to the theory.

Trump’s announcement comes with association theories. Some have speculated some association with (so far empty) assertions from octsurprise.com that “At least one of your presidential candidates isn't being honest with you. Stay tuned to find out which one.” While sensational, it’s unlikely there’s any merit, or any association with Donald Trump.
