Travel Advice: Antigua in July/Barbados in January

For the folks that have been/are from Antigua and Barbados, I need some help in planning my trips to both islands.
I'm going to Antigua in July for my step mom's birthday but everyone is basically "Going with the flow" in terms of things they plan to do there which goes completely against how I travel. I have things planned out at least in terms of where I'm going to be for the day in order to cut down on lost time due to traveling around.
My trip to Barbados in January is going to be for my birthday which most likely will be a solo trip so I don't have to account for others.
So I'm basically posting my itineraries for any guidance that anyone has on a balance of touristy and local things to do.
