read the first few pages...then just skimmed thru the rest...grew up on comics and I love the new resurgence of comic book-inspired TV shows and movies but I just can’t get back into reading comics anymore...visually the art styles are just not that appealing to me and the writing seems elementary on some levels...I think we’ve reached a point where movies/TV shows have surpassed the source material (except for ‘the walking dead’ )...I’m rereading ‘the boys’ and it’s not as good as I remember it being...the show is actually better imo despite the changes made

This show basically underscores why Watchmen is the best superhero movie in my opinion. Somehow I think this will be a better show than the actual Watchmen series that's coming out. I just wasn't feeling the trailer on that one as much.
They basically took the Watchmen movie and made it into a series with The Boys. They have well develop characters and backstories. The writing is very good and they even shoot in the same dark cinematography I liked in Watchmen. I love it. Can't wait for season 2.
