2010 is going to be a great year for boxing. I think this is the year that fights that need to be made are done. As a boxing fan I can only hope. My top 5 fights are below. Do you agree with me?
1) B-Hop vs Chad Dawson
For years B-Hop has been the man in the division he fought in. For him not to step up and fight the man in the current division just boggles the mind. This is the top fight that needs to be made.
2) Pacquiao vs Mayweather
Sure I dont't care to see these guys fight. But that is more due to not caring for watch PBF fight. But on the real that doesn't change the fact that the current top p4p fighter has a chance of fighting the previous p4p fighter. It is a fight that should be made.
3) Mayweather vs Mosley
I got to tell you that Floyd is on the list again. I guess I like so many people are starved to see the guy in a fight that you would argue about in the barber shop. The dude doesn't have a signature fight yet. However if these two meet in the ring he could have one. I mean the has to be a reason why these two guys have not met. They are just two talented not to have tested skills against each other at least once. This fight has to be made.
4) Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez
Cmon son, if you love boxing how could you not want to want to see them fight one more time. Seeing how he was stripped of his title because of an injury from their last fight, a remtch is mandatory.
5) Paul Williams vs Felix Sturm, Kelly Pavlik, Sergio Martinez, or Floyd Mayweather
Paul Williams is a fighter. I just love watching a fighter like him. He goes out there and throws punches. He matches up so well with Felix. The both throw punches all day and night. Pavlik has that one punch power that is not meant to be slept on. Paul and Sergio gave fans a fight we still are talking about. And Floyd would be interesting. Paul and Floyd be a battle between a fighter who never saw a punch he didn't want to throw against a fighter than never saw a punch they wanted to get hit by. Paul needs a fight with any of these guys in 2010.
