Too much, too early?

I don't have a problem with kids gradually making their way to the big time and big league. My son is 12 and plays under 14 basketball which I think is normal and steady progression, but when you are already seeking media attention for your 10 year old as the next best thing, I think it will eventually take a mental toll on the kid before they made it to the big league

One of the comment is "This is abuse!"

As a former kids baseball coach ... I hate these types of parents
They do waaaaaay too much and in too many cases they cause more harm that they do good.
I hate over zealous parents who think their kid is THE ONE
sadly their kids are usually being driven like slaves and burn out before or right after high school
