Tips on looking for Private Investors

I do not have any private investors personally I can point you towards but I do have some online information I have found helpful that allowed me to network into a couple of situations:

www.businesspartners.com/
www.inc.com/guides/finance/24011.html

Check the AJC business section on Sunday's for occasional private investor postings and go to the reference section in your library to find a massive amount of information on getting money from anybody besides the whack azz bank. Good luck.

Big Dreams im in the same stage in my business I have been just trying to speak with any many business contacts and I can. As well as im looking toward venture capitalist they have a little more control over your business policies but they will provide some managment experience and people if need be.

Please share any infor you find out It would be helpful to me and possibly others

I'll do that If I dont forget

ay I've been thinking about venture capitalist money....but I've been hearing they only deal with technology companies and do you know the amount of money they usually invest?

ay I just came up with this good ass idea this morning to look for people with big pockets

what I'm doin is...I'm calling up all the McDonald's in my area and ask to speak to the owner...those owners make an average of $600,000 per year

Once I get in contact with the owner...I'ma lay out my business plan for him

You can do that with all the franchises around ya area....Burger Kings, McDonald's, StarBucks etc......

here's another one....accountants usually handles the money of people with lots of money...they usually know private investors

so go up to an accountant company and ask for private investors.....I'm making 10 copies of my business plan and I'ma give it to the accountants

yeah those are good ideas venture capitalist usually only invest in something they can make 5 times over, or the market is at least 5 million dollars. The lowest is 500k. Check out this http://www.forbes.com/ceonetwork/2004/09/10/0910chat_transcript.html its a good read also do a google search for GUY KAWASAKI he's chairmen of garage a tech venture capitalist company. He has a article in forbes monthly its also online. Good advice about the stage your in.

He says dont whore out your bplan be selective. Or make a quick hits version not the meat and potatos just enough info to get them interested.

Good luck brotha im almost done with my business plan im working on the finacials making sure there as close as possible.

Hey go to Craigs List. www.craigslist.com and post that you are looking for serious investors only. You may get replies. It's worth a shot. Post ads in the business section classifieds for serious investors. Offer partnership splits, or returns. You can do it fam. Good luck.

Put a couple of classified ads in your local newspaper.

One should say, Money To Loan, and the other one should say Private Investor Wanted: Will pay premium interest rates.

Visit the SBA they have a list of venture capitalist and loan programs or talk to the Chamber of Commerce and ask them to put you in touch with someone if they see you are serious they can help open doors.
