TikTok will be celebrating its biggest names on a major stage later this year.

On Monday, Nov. 3, the social media app announced its plans to host its inaugural U.S. TikTok Awards on Dec. 18. The live show will honor creators with a variety of awards spotlighting areas of expertise, like the "Okay Slay" category for beauty and fashion influencers and the MVP of the Year for sports content.

The ceremony and red carpet will be hosted at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and it will follow the theme of "New Era, New Icons." The show and live performances will stream live on TikTok and Tubi, and will be available on demand on Tubi the following day.

Last year, TikTok put on awards shows in 21 countries, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico and Germany. The event makes its stateside debut with five major names nominated for the "Creator of the Year" category: Alix Earle, Adam W, Brooke Monk, Keith Lee and Kristy Sarah, all of whom boast millions of followers.

The "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" award will spotlight musicians with substantial online followers through the app. Solo acts Alex Warren, Laufey, Ravyn Lenae, Sombr and girl group Katseye have all recently released viral songs as up-and-coming performers.

The U.S. TikTok awards will also recognize achievements in the education space and in entertainment, with nominations going toward teachers and film and TV creators like Reece Feldman (@guywithamoviecamera). Online philanthropic efforts are applauded with the "TikTok For Good" award.

Fans can submit votes for nominees through an in-app hub that will be available between Nov. 18 and Dec. 5.
