This is a social media thing in general.
People can spend mindless amount of time scrolling through nonsensical videos while gaining little to no mental advancements.
And algorithms are beast now. The advertisements or suggestions are tailored right to your interest.
People just don’t have enough discipline.

I get online at night from being up late but that cellphone gets put in mute at 9pm and it depends on who it is I might answer a text but for the most part I have to unplug from shit and I'm not on social media,this messageboard is about as social that I'm ever going to get but it's not about us it's the younger people now who can't do shit without a phone;walking from school on the side walk staring down at a cellphone.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox signed two pieces of sweeping social media regulation into law Thursday that require social media companies to get parental consent for minors using their services, making Utah the first state to impose such measures in the U.S.
Versions of the regulations are being considered in four other states and in several federal proposals in Congress.
The new Utah laws — H.B. 311 and S.B. 152 — require that social media companies verify the age of any Utah resident who makes a social media profile and get parental consent for any minor who wishes to make a profile. It also forces social media companies to allow parents to access posts and messages from their child’s account.
The laws also prohibit social media companies from displaying ads to minors, showing minor accounts in search results, collecting information about minors, targeting or suggesting content to minors, or knowingly integrating addictive technologies into social media apps used by minors. They also impose a curfew on the use of social media for minors, locking them out of their social media accounts between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. based on the location of a user’s device, unless adjusted with the consent of a parent.

The internet was supposed to be a Euro/ American dominated creation meant to push content on to other countries. Russia and China has upended these plans resulting in their bans. This picture depicts the internet during its initial formation in the United States.
I am not a big fan of the Chinese, but being forced to watch this garbage out of YouTube all day controlled by whites who engage in terrorism is not an enticing alternative.
For example, let's say you do something that upsets them due to their white supremacist beliefs, they can go on their platforms they control to push a narrative about you to get you killed.
This is why I use BGOL to post my content, and don't find their platforms enjoyable to use for me.

I found out a lot about Covid in the early days because of TikTok and it’s a good source of international news and you could easily filter out the bullshit from your timeline. That Paris protest that has been going on. I knew about that since last month before our media even mention it.
They are terroristic crybaby bizarre acting; posting videos on their platforms could invite terrorism such as a mass shooting. The few black fools that are blowing up on YouTube and other U.S. based platforms are frauds.
Posting on TikTok could give you protections from them since you're not using their platforms. We need a diversity of ways to disseminate information. This is why I do not post my hardcore shit on their platforms at all.
