The verbal sparring between Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods continued Wednesday after Woods tweeted back at Garcia in response to comments made by Garcia that could be perceived as a racial reference aimed at the world's No. 1 player.
On Wednesday morning, Tiger tweeted this: "The comment that was made wasn't silly. It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate.
"I'm confident that there is real regret that the remark was made.
"The Players ended nearly two weeks ago and it's long past time to move on and talk about golf."
Garcia, who later issued an apology, took issue with Woods for what he viewed as a breach of golf course etiquette during the third round of The Players Championship two weeks ago, was asked in jest at a European Tour function if he would be inviting Woods to dinner during next month's U.S. Open.

Garcia addressed the media on Wednesday in England and apologized again, saying "my answer was totally stupid and out of place. I feel sick about it."
The back-and-forth between Garcia and Woods has continued long after the conclusion of the Players, where Woods won his fourth tournament of the year a day after Garcia complained about being distracted on the second hole by the world's top-ranked player, who was his playing partner that round.

They fed the slaves cheap foods and things that were easy to grow. When slaves became free, chicken was one of the inexpensive foods they could obtain. They added seasoning and things to it. I think the history goes back to the Scot's.
i once did a report on slave foods, but that was so long ago i can't even remember most of it.

You say we as black people should start demanding respect but you also mention in your post that you're not calling for him to be suspended or lose sponsors.
That is how you begin to get respect in this situations. Come together as a collective voice and make a real big deal out of these scenarios, put pressure on his sponsors and the pga.

He pointed out that most of todays Golfers, including Sergio, wouldnt be as relevant nor would they be making the amount of money that theyre making if it was for Tiger. Just think about it. Tiger, i.e. a Man of color revolutionized the game of Golf. He turned regular mofo's into Golf fans. I didnt become interested in Golf until Tiger came around.
When the sport of Golf was all White..and catering to a mostly White audience....it was boring and was barely getting attention. The sports that cater to a diverse crowds..NBA & NFL ...make the most money. The MLB didnt start making major money until Negro league players start joining the MLB.
I made the same argument when folks tried to say MJ was hating on LBJ and Kobe. MJ made the NBA, Nike, etc the money machines that they are today. Which in return opened the doors for people like LBJ and Kobe. LBJ and Kobe arent capable of doing something like that ..for many reasons.
No matter if you like them or not..you gotta respect the clout of people like Tiger, William Sisters & MJ. No one has or ever will have the type of influence that they had on their respected sports. Deep frying foods in fat actually comes from Scotland, and most southern whites are of Scotch-Irish descent. It's the seasoning of fried chicken that black people added to it. However, during and after slavery, chickens were usually the only farm animals black people (and lots of poor whites) could afford to have, and they were practical because they could not only be eaten but also laid eggs that could be eaten.
