The suspect in the Monday night shooting of Alabama defensive end Brandon Deaderick remained at large this morning.
Capt. Greg Kosloff, spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said there were no arrests or other developments overnight in the case, an apparent robbery attempt.
The shooting caused a stir at a quiet Tuscaloosa apartment complex. See this story in today's edition of The Birmingham News.
"It didn't take long for the police to get here," one resident said.
"Then somebody said, `Oh, it's the football player.'"
It was defensive end Brandon Deaderick, who spent the night in the hospital after he was shot in the left forearm.
