This older lady has my allergies acting up

I'm a CNA/med tech and one of my patients cutting onions in her room.
Man this lady got me in my feels
She asked me about my necklace, I told her I traced my DNA I'm Nigerian. She was surprised I knew the significant of the necklace. She stated how she used to use them for currency and I said I use it for protection. Told me local healer would use them as well I'm her village in Ghana.She said"your either Yoruba or IFA if you know that" . Then she said"don't forget your roots" and started crying. She said she hasn't seen these since a child, so I gave mines to her. She said"the great Creator will bless me and has not forgotten me"
Y'all know all the shit I been thru lately. I can't lie, this just caught me off guard
Anybody ever have an experience like this?

Good for you to have this kind of experience, and I hope it elevates you mentally, but most folks on here read and move on. especially with topics relating to finding/knowing your roots/NIGERIA (that damn good for nothing country) or Africa in general....Enjoy the experience and strive to know more since you seem interested.
