People love to talk shit about how wack today's game is, but I will say this, never have there been so many great guards playing in the league, this makes the game quicker, more dynamic and exciting..

What great guards do we have today tho?

I mean in the 90s the shit was stacked

hell the 80s too

Not like now.. Today we have Westbrook, CP3, Wall, Irving, D. Williams, Harden, Kobe, Rondo, Wade, Rose, Parker, Curry just to name a few, who are the top players in todays game..

Out of the entire lot you have about 3 HOF caliber guys. 80s/90s was stacked with HOF guys...MJ, Magic, Zeke, Dumars, Stockton, Doc, Miller, Clyde, Mitch, DJ, Aguire, Bernard, Gervin, Dantley...Thats just off the top of my head. Todays guards cant see the 80s/90s heads.

Errethang  :hmm:
Yessir. Im a big Kyrie fan. But he aint seeing CP3. Defense (and yes i know cp3 defense is overrated), Boards, Shooting, Scoring, Passing, Leadership, Running offense.. Everything.

Kyrie is more athletic though. And handles are a push.

What does Cp3 do better?

lol nothing...cp3's time has passed....he hasnt done anything in the playoffs....i know everyone will say he never had a good enough team...ok thats cool...but the clippers last year and the season before were good enough to at least make it the conference finals....its over for cp3 as far as him being the best pg in the league...yeah he can drop 24 and 12 cool....he's good....but its about more than that...its about taking control of a game and in my opinion tony parker does that better than cp3...he hits em when they count....cp3 is soft to me

:hmm:

man kyrie is a much much better shooter and scorer than cp3

he also has a better first step and maybe even better handles

now boards and leadership is all cp3

D? shit i dont know...i guess id give that to cp3

honestly right now id give a slight edge to cp3 since kyrie is so injury prone

Nah, Paul was putting up the same numbers when he was the only star on a bad team like Kyrie. Kyrie averaging more points doesnt make him a better scorer or shooter. And when Paul was dropping 22 a game, unlike Kyrie, he was also still dishing double digit assists, hitting the boards and grabbing 3steals a game. CP3>>>

Imagine if Lebron was still there...
If Bron stays they never get Kyrie. Another piece of evidence toward Brons greatness. They went from title contender to lottery winner... twice once Bron took his talents to southbeach.

THOSE ARE FORWARDS !
Bernard was the ONLY one who didnt play in the guard rotation as well son.

I'm holding my opinion on kyrie til they play the Bulls

He the olny hyped up pg Rose ain't played yet

I think its gone be a helluva game

Parker is actually shit without screens, and a defender stepping out on the high pick and roll. I know that shit sounds blasphemous, and I wouldn't have thought it if I hadn't seen it proven w/ my own eyes.

The last year the Lakers faced the SPurs in the WCF, the Lakers were gettin' destroyed by Parkers in the series. Shit was Jordanesque. Dudes made ONE adjustment - Shaq committed on the high pick and roll - the Lakers turned the series around completely...

....and Parker was a non-factor. Dude couldn't even adjust to the shit. I lost a lot of respect for him after that.

After that, I noticed how he gets off on teams who fail to make the same adjustments.

Saw what happened to Parker when Lebron got that nigga iso'd on the perimeter? He couldn't breathe out that motherfucker. Now, I know Lebron is quick, but Parker quick?

He made dude a non-factor on offense.

Now, I will say dude is godlike in finishing around the basket.

Talking about Lebron vs Parker made me think about that series, and I thought about Ginobili at the end of game 7...

...and laughed hard for a good 30 seconds thinking about the brazen point shaving that nigga was involved in.

Kyrie got that whip wap with him for sure

And tony Parker be straight abusing Chris Paul

You realize you just spanned two decades to compare against guys who are playing NOW.

there's 6 more years in this decade also....

Played better offensively than Bosh 0 points..

Played better offensively than Bosh 0 points..

Yeah, D. Wade came to life, but he and Bosh were about to get Lebron roasted all summer long with their play...

...'cause you and I know, as good as Wade and Bosh are, if the Spurs had won, it wouldn't have been a L for Miami, or them, but an L for Lebron.

You realize that i was responding to a comment about guys in the 80s and 90s vs today?

You realize most of the guys i mentioned spanned both decades?

You realize the guys playing today will span two decades as well?

You realize my point was that the 80s and 90s were loaded with more HOF talent?
