Gotta do something about global warming!
bullshit !
can u prove it?I believe in global warming and mans impact on the environment, but I also know advocates sometimes shoot their cause in the foot by going to extremes to prove it, so if you got credible proof, share it.
Cause one of them dates/pictures is wrong.
there is only one place on the planet where Arctic or Antarctic ice is melting and the reason is not global warming . there is 2 or 3 underwater volcanoes that have been erupting and heating up the water above it .

Powerful deep Arctic Ocean geological heat flow forces are melting the ice, says geologist James Edward Kamis.
In an article entitled “Heat From Deep Ocean Fault Punches Hole in Arctic Ice Sheet,” Kamis punches his own holes in the “humans-are-melting-the-ice”chorus.

“A very interesting high temperature and low salinity hole has just been punched in the sea ice … directly above the deep ocean Gakkel Ridge Rift / Fault System,” wrote Kamis in early November. (The event Kamis is referring to took place on October 12, 2015.)

The Gakkel ridge is a gigantic chain of underwater volcanoes snaking 1,800 kilometers (1,100 miles) beneath the Arctic Ocean from the northern tip of Greenland to Siberia.
With its deep valleys plummeting 5,500 meters (3.4 miles) beneath the sea surface and its summits rising 5,000 meters (3.1-miles) above the seafloor (but still a third of a mile beneath the sea surface), the Gakkel ridge is far mightier than the Alps.
The Gakkel Ridge has in the recent past pulsed massive amounts of heat into the overlying ocean and thereby melted large portions of the ice that floats above the heated ocean column, says Kamis.
Climate scientists who favor the theory of man-made global warming maintain that the higher melt rate of Arctic sea ice from 1999 to 2007 was entirely due to man-made CO2 emissions, Kamis continues.
Natural forces play dominate role in sea ice extent
However, it is clear to most scientists, he continues, that non-atmospheric natural forces play the dominate role in sea ice extent and thickness.
These natural forces include variations in the Earth’s orbit, long-term cyclic changes in deep-ocean currents, and most importantly geologically induced heat and chemically charged fluid flow from deep ocean faults and volcanoes.
Even though the October 12 event was associated with an extensive earthquake swarm, a huge methane release, and a significant series of volcanic eruptions along the Gakkel Ridge, “it was, and still is dismissed as insignificant by most climate scientists advocating the theory of man-made global warming,” says Kamis
But many scientists now realize that the 1999-2007 Gakkel Ridge heat and chemically charged fluid flow event was the root cause of accelerated the Arctic sea ice melting rate.

Like many Antarctic glaciers, the Pine Island Glacier is melting. But Pine Island is melting faster than any other glacier in the world. Surprisingly, it’s not climate change alone that is causing the thaw. New research by the National Science Foundation has found evidence that volcanic activity beneath the glacier is a likely culprit.
An international team of scientists from NSF and the U.K.’s Natural Environmental Research Council discovered an underwater heat source by tracing the chemical signature of helium underwater, according to a press release. That heat source is almost certainly in the form of underwater volcanic activity.

It’s unclear exactly how badly the heat source could be damaging the glacier, and how much it will speed up the glacier’s demise, but scientists are sure that the glacier is being melted from below. This thawing could raise the global sea level considerably, and not only because the ice itself is melting into the ocean. The Pine Island Glacier is important for “plugging” other ice from flowing into the sea too quickly, and without it, we may see an even faster sea level rise.
The Pine Island Glacier is also particularly important for stabilizing the Thwaites Glacier, an enormous piece of ice that scientists fear it may already be too late to save. The West Antarctic Ice Sheet is in dire straits, having already lost 175 billion tons of ice since 2012.

The researchers determined that underwater volcanic activity was causing the melts because of the quantity of helium-3 found in the water, and also because of the uneven deformations of the glacier. Layers of ash found in ice core samples and rumblings from earthquakes also helped paint a picture of hidden volcanic eruptions. Props for supporting your post, I still don't know what impact man and carbon footprint have on the ice caps but that science you posted seems very on point.
Fox News and the Republicans say that it's a just a myth perpetrated by the Chinese government in order to stop US car manufacturing and oil drilling.
I think these folks have fucked up the climate system so bad, now their playing a game of cover up so the people wont find out!!
No legitimate site says that the volcanos alone are melting the glaciers. They say climate change as well.
Also, I keep seeing people saying the Earth is heating on it’s own and not because of man like it’s a good thing. When volcanic activity warmed the Earth previously, 90% of lal the species in the oceans and 75% of all the species on land died. When the Earth cooled into snowball Earth, lots of species died as well.
We’d really, really rather it be man made climate change.

Lol something like 98 out of every 100 climate scientists who have been published in peer reviewed journals agree on man made climate change. If you're going to pretend this isn't a thing while relying on conspiracy blogs for knowledge instead do me a favor and go to a plumber instead of a doctor if u ever get sick. While you're at it take your car to a physicist when u run into car trouble... since all knowledge/expertise us equal and nothing means anything

But if the ice walls melt what will keep boats from sailing off the edges of Earth?
I understand that geology and medicine are completely different disciplines . the statement " Are these the same scientists who support vaccines ? , " is a reference to lies to push vaccines or Global Warming by those with PHD's after their names because the average person wont question authority .There is an innate need or willingness in people to want to believe and trust those in a position of authority . I want everyone to question authority .
