A lot of people said, ‘You’ll be dead before you reach 50 years of eating Big Macs,'" Gorske says.

(NEWSER) –
Wisconsin man Don Gorske has marked a milestone in unadventurous eating that may never be equaled. He visited his local McDonald's in Fond du Lac on Tuesday to mark 50 years of eating Big Macs almost every day. "All through life here, a lot of people said, 'You’ll be dead before you reach 50 years of eating Big Macs.' I guess I proved them wrong," Gorske said, per KCRG. Gorske had his first Big Mac in the same restaurant on May 17, 1972 and has only had eight Macless days since, including the day his mother died and the day a snowstorm forced the restaurant to close, reports Fox 11. He now keeps a few emergency Big Macs in his freezer.

Gorske, a retired corrections officer, says he has eaten Big Macs in all 50 states and Canada. The 68-year-old normally eats two Big Macs a day, which he says accounts for more than 90% of the food he consumes. He usually has a Coke with his burgers, but no fries. In 2018, he celebrated having eaten 30,000 Big Macs and the number was not an estimate: He has OCD and "keeps meticulous details of all the burgers he’s eaten, keeping each individual burger carton and receipt," per the Guinness Book of World Records. Some of the older ones were on display at the Fond du Lac restaurant this week.

Gorske says his active lifestyle keeps him healthy and his cholesterol is low. He crossed the finish line of the San Diego Marathon in 2006, holding a Big Mac. Gorske, whose sons prefer a more varied diet, says his total as of Wednesday is 32, 944 Big Macs and he's planning to eat many more. "I'll eat Big Macs until I die," Gorske tells the Fond du Lac Reporter. "My wife says if she has to put them in a blender, it's over. But I don't think it'll get that far." Couple found 1950s McDonald's bag with french fries inside wall during home renovations

Rob and Gracie Jones found two hamburger wrappers and a half-eaten order of fries in a McDonald's bag behind their bathroom wall.

(CNN)Cold french fries are bad enough. But cold, old french fries are even worse.
That's the surprise from Ronald McDonald that one Illinois couple stumbled upon during home renovations.
On April 16, Rob and Gracie Jones were doing work on their 1959 Crystal Lake home, located about 50 miles northwest of Chicago.
Suddenly, they found a decades-old McDonald's bag behind one wall.

"Rob was in the bathroom replacing the old toilet paper fixture," Gracie told CNN Wednesday, "As he pulled the fixture out, he noticed a rolled up piece of cloth bunched up inside the wall."
The couple had no idea they were about to discover decades-old fast food.
"At this point we're both looking at each other wondering if we'd be calling the police because we just uncovered evidence from a crime scene!" Gracie said, "We were very relieved to have just found the old McDonald's bag."
They then took the bag into their kitchen to carefully open it. Inside they found two hamburger wrappers and some half-eaten, decades-old french fries -- that were crispy and brown.

The fries in the bag, which the couple may sell the right buyer.

"We saw the fries and were like, 'This is unreal.' How on Earth are these fries still in this bag and how are they preserved so well?! It was wild," Gracie added.
McDonald's fries are usually known for their salty scent, but the couple said there was no smell to these relics.
Gracie said they picked up a few of the fries and were surprised at how sturdy they were, despite their decrepit appearance.
Researching the logo on the bag they discovered, the couple learned it was used in McDonald's production from 1955 to 1961.
They also found out that one of the area's original McDonald's was built down the street from their home in 1959 -- the same year their house was built.
The bag even contained the original mascot for the fast-food chain, Speedee.
CNN has contacted McDonald's about the unusual find, and is awaiting comment.
For now, the couple has the ancient meal in storage and aren't sure what to do with it.
"We'd be happy to sell it or if not, we'd probably keep it as a cool piece of history," Gracie said.

I some people bodies can absorb calories quicker than others just like some people who smoke all their lifetime I never get cancer nor lung issues. But this is very rare I mean extremely rare.

I worked across the street from a McDonald’s years ago, I remember slimmies starting the job with curvy bodies and slim phat asses and by the next year being fat with an even bigger ass as some sort of compensation….The mens bathroom after lunch though, disgusting…That shit is cheap and addictive but it’s also toxic.

You got folks out here that start smoking cigarettes at the age of 15 and live into their 90’s and their cause of death is listed as “natural causes”.

They die in good health.

And some folks start smoking at 15, got full blown lung cancer by 30 and dead before their 40th birthday cuz of the cancer.

Some folks got good genetics.

Look at Keith Richards and the lifestyle he has had and all the high profile celebrities who had lives like him and he has outlived them.

2 patties made of whatever,3 pieces of bread made of whatever, thousand Island dressing,a little lettuce and 2 pickles twice a day.

He'll be alright,especially if he's active.

Please,

I knew a lady who was in her 80s+ and smoked a pack a day since she was 16.

When I knew her then she was moving independently, and was as sharp as a whip.

Don't let em fool you on what's really killing you.

The US/USSR were dropping so many nukes since the 40s you can now detect radioactive elements in your tooth enamel.

So there's your answer. He doesn't eat fries. I bet he avoids soda too.
