Why do you think that none of the MCs that are really saying something never get played. It's not because it doesn't sell, it's because if you hear somebody telling you to better yourself or stand up for your rights, or help your community/your race, that eventually it'll sink in and all it takes is one for the revolution of our race/culture to start


Look at Kanye, many will call him crazy or gay or both but who has put a song like BLKSKNHEAD or NEW SLAVES and have it make an impact? I love Em but when aye dropped those 2 songs he released RAP GOD which is tight but it knocked the truth out the box


Look at Jay Z. And again I love Jay but they show you a drug dealer that "made it" so now it's kids thinking I can sell drugs and make it but then get shot or locked up


I know y'all are on it but look at what the radio plays all day long.

I remember hearing about a music conference in the early 90s where they talked about changing the landscape of hip-hop because it was getting to big and we(black men & women) were being empowered by the music. Now look at what's on the radio as opposed to what washing played it the 90s


Pharoahe Monch PTSD should get some radio play but they will make you think he's wacky or crazy.


Look at how they did Dave Chappelle. Katt Williams said it in a radio interview. Thats there blueprint against the black man.
