im researching Greek mythology for one of the stories.
noticed a well known fact, a lot of Greek art features the men colored black.
no big deal, right, as it has been reported to just be a style choice.
but then i ran across this:

Round Heracles a clamour rose from the dead, like wild birds flying up in terror, and he dark as night, his bow unsheathed and an arrow strung, glared round fiercely as if about to shoot.
Homer wrote that shit. motherfucking HOMER. Herodotus, a HIGHLY revered ancient historian says Heracules was Ethiopian. the OLDEST depictions of this mafugga shows him just plain Black.
like YOUR BROTHER, or your uncle Bubba...but on steroids Black.
its funny that the oldest greek art is also very VERY heterosexual.
