Red bananas, also known as Red Dacca bananas in Australia, are a variety of banana with reddish-purple skin. They are smaller and plumper than the common Cavendish banana. When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream to light pink in color. They are also softer and sweeter than the yellow Cavendish varieties, with a slight mango flavor.

One man's wonder is another man's common occurrence. I guess I take those things for granted.

I eat them all the time as the local supermarket sales them seasonally.
In the Caribbean they're quite common actually.

dude there are so many different varieties of bananas, the fact that we mostly only see one kind in the good ol u.s is some politcal shit..

but even fruit we are just starting to see the more exotic fruit like

lychees, prickly pears and dragonfruit.

but them red bananas always been around like dude said in the caribbean market..

I see them a lot in the latin and mexican markets as well as the small burro bananas...
