The United States Football League?

I think that this idea was born due to an anticipated change coming from the new negotiated agreement--end of season-- between the NFLPA and NFL Management reducing the 'first-year' money made available to first round draft choices, especially #1. Thus, making more money available for veterans. Which makes a helluva lot of sense. Vets having been complaining about that problem for years.

The USFL probably sees itself as a legitmate alternative to provide the first-place money not being paid by the NFL. Sound familiar? Sort of like the old AFL!

when you said usfl i thought you were talking about the ufl(united football league). then i looked it up in wikipedia, i found out that you were right. they're trying to bring back the usfl. this might be the beginning of my dream for year round football!! but knowing the system the way it is, either the usl or the usfl won't last longer than two years!! :( the sport media assholes won't let it!
