The Truth About Cancer ?

Being that my daughter has lymphoma I am discovering that not every cancer is equal, and the treatment that works well for one may be very toxic and dangerous for another..
Right now she just fished her third installment of chemo, and has six more left.. According to the doctor she should be cancer free after the next...
Originally her protein marker in her blood was 126 (32 is considered normal) with just the steroid treatment alone hers dropped to 60 and after three sessions of chemo, my daughter looks and feels normal... She said that she no longer feels the mass, her energy levels are way high, even had a cold that went away like a regular cold..
Here's the thing, her levels and type of chemo cocktail is very low, and is designed for her type of lymphoma, and according to the track record, has a very high level of success..
The only side effects so far is that she feels a tad nauseous three days after her treatment (note she gets them every other week) but nothing too unbearable, on the level of one to ten she says she feels about a four..
And even that, her doc feels that it can be reduced more with a different med to combat her nauseousness...
The other set back she had occurred with her blood building drug she is on, an injection she has to takes once every other day, where one day she had severe cramps in her back and legs, one of the side effects of the drug. it was so intense that she had to be rushed to the emergency where she was given pain killers... But ever since she's been taking regular claritin (for some reason it works best with the drug to alleviate these types of cramps) this is no longer an issue...
She just got through a session yesterday and thanks to her type of cancer plus doctors who are very attentive and flexible with their regiment understanding the individual needs of my daughter, the treatments are getting smoother and smoother..
Not saying there wont be other bumps in the road, but as for now, the treatment has been way smoother than I ever expected, she is literally in out of her facility with in a few hours, and after treatment she looks and feels normal so far no hair lost, no pale skin or sickly look you'd expect with chemo..
But then again it all goes by the type of chemo/cancer, amount and other factors such as over all health and age of the patient...

19 and at this point she is only nauseous a few days after treatment, and as she says its mostly in her head (when she thinks about a food she doesn't like she feels it).
A few months ago I was really stress, watching her coughing, in pain and laying in the hospital bed.. But now she is out, looking and feeling healthy and the prognosis is much better than I could have imagined..
Thaks for the bgol family for showing love, support and prayers!!!
