Light rays bring retracted due to forrest fire haze. Similar to when you see a red sun during sun set when the sun has to travel through the thickest and most dense part of the atmosphere.

Okay you caught me, the sun is really flat, the fact that everyone of your photos clearly shows overcast skies is just coincidence.
More hazy skies with the sun close to the horizon, now show me a red sun at noon during a clear blue sky then we can talk.

Holy shit I just solved the mystery, that's not the sun that's a reflection of the Earth reflecting off the firmament. From this reflection, we can finally see the truth, we live on Mars and Mars is a globe except the top which is flat. It's right there in the photo, and, like flatties like to say, the eyes that God made cannot be wrong.
