IMO....20 Billion + what ever else theyll have to spend is chump change considering how much they make/will continue to make off Americans. BP puts cash before safty...thats the real reasson why this BS happened

During the Bush administration FEMA, the crew that neva could gain control over the whole Katrina fiasco, was filled with incompetent, money hungry extremist. Well..the MMS (Minerals Management Service) was also filled with the same kind of people.
Do you all remember Obama stating that he was gonna start straightening out all MMS BS during his campaign i.e. almost 2 years ago? Well his Admin advised him to do other "ineffective" things that prevented him from addressing the MMS issues and the brewing BP catastrophes for many reasons. In 2009, the Obama administration and The American Petroleum Institute ( the oil industry trade group) intervened to support the reversal of a court order that would have halted offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. The guy that Obama appointed as Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar i.e. a guy that has ties with the oil industry, picked BP’s Deepwater Horizon operation as one that should be allowed to go forward with new drilling.
In April 2009, a Washington appeals Court ruled that the Bush administration’s five-year plan for offshore oil and gas drilling (covering 2007 to 2012) was not based on a proper review of the environmental impact of the drilling. Only days before the ruling, the Obama administration had granted BP a “categorical exclusion,” exempting it from an environmental impact study for the Deepwater Horizon project.

let me simplify all of this in layman's terms....
Just like Bush, Obama helped the oil industry gain control over a faction within the US government so they could do dirt and make more money off people like yous. Yep....a corporation controlled something that your government was suppose to control...and Obama cosigned it. WOW...now thats shocking!
now after the BS has happened...11 lives lost...BP making trillions and the gulf and fishing industry is damaged for decades, Obama's main man now wants to split up the MMS.

I also know that the mess that the previous administration created wil take many administrations to fix; but how do you justify adding to the BS Mr Obama?
