The real reason the Oscars snubbed "black" people this brother breaks it down lovely

One step at a time!

Starts with love for yourself and your people.

the getting like minds together in small groups and building

bridges...

and then breaking the money spell we are under and create our own...

I may have skipped a few steps but Im sure you get the gist...

I like it. Next set, if you could help me....

How do I find like minds?

What do we build?

How do I break black folks from their spell for materialism?

well you have to network, and dont worry about belonging to any big group at first..

just two or three people.... and then yall connect with another group...

avoid big groups... too many infiltrators...

find your niche first.. are you into film? are you into business??

are you into science...

you will be surprised how magnetic you are, and will attract those that think along the same lines if you are serious...

as far as breaking this materialistic spell... you cant worry about the next man..

you have to get yourself right... and then you will be in a position to attract those that think like you...

one step at a time bruh...

but first you have to know we can make a change, move toward it and stay focused...

Bet. And great advice.

I was attempting hijack this thread and turn it into a brainstorm of info on how to create an alternative and independent system of justice

But I don't think BGOL is the place. Plus this site is loaded with CACs.

LOL who are YOU telling...

few are cool, most are undercover haters!!!

but there are going to be douch bags every where you go....

and its not that hard...

we dont need all that glitz...

we just need love and respect for each other..

and let our creativity do the rest!!!

Your right its not that hard but the problem is deeper than the Oscars. Its us! By now we should have smartened up. Why are we still fighting with white people for inclusion. If we focus on us, we might find out all we need is us. It happened 95 years ago in Greenwood, Tulsa, OK.

So what are we waiting on?

I like what he said and he's absolutely right. But black intellectuals and leaders have been saying this for decades. Every generation's leaders say the same thing. If it were easy to create these "systems" within the white oppressive "system" it would have been done a long time ago. Black people have been creating systems since before emancipation and it has helped us stay afloat. But to get ahead and get out front the way he's describing will take the destruction of one system and creation of another. I don't think too many black folks are ready to bleed like that. Including the people that are always barking about what everyone should do.

well actually it wasnt we that started this boycott talk it was jada, and she was only pissed her man didnt get that nod for the award..

I think we are doing a lot but it wont be televised, you have to get out there...

and also we as a people have very little idea how much effort is made by the waning powers that be to keep us divided...

one of their biggest fears is us linking up with brothers in africa, the cia working overtime to prevent that inevitable thing from happening..

but speaking of Greenwood, Tulsa Ok..

for those that missed it...

The latter end of your post is what I meant in reference to another poster who quoted me.

I feel as though I have to repeat myself over and over again.

Economic independence is not Black people's problem.

Again!!!

Economic independence is NOT a problem for Black people.

It's the parasitic, jealous, annoying cac that will sabotage African people's progression; therefore, Black people's main priority should be answering the question: how do we protect ourselves?

We need to focus on the right thing and adopt a military mind-state.

This isn't the first time I've said this and most likely won't be the last.

That's true and the fact that this is the speech from the Mack. I used to imitate all of the characters back in high school but that speech stood out. I like what Jay is doing but somebody from here would have heard about bis seminars and posted it - that blurb looks like Envy got some folks together and cut the camera on long enough to catch the soundbite.

That was a strange video. One guy holding court while everyone else records it?

Does everyone need to be a preacher?

as far as what are WE waiting on..
