Modafinil’s moment.

It took Peter Borden a while to come around to modafinil. He never takes prescription drugs. He doesn’t drink to excess. He’s into acupuncture and alternative medicine. But he was working two jobs—by day, he does quantitative analysis and project management for a venture-capital-backed B2B start-up; by night, he’s developing a proprietary high-*frequency trading system for a Wall Street start-up of his own—and what he needed was more time to work.

So a few months ago, Borden ordered a three-week supply by mail. (“It was a piece of cake,” he says.) He popped his first pill—“the maximum suggested dose”—as soon as the package arrived, and within a few hours he started feeling a pleasant fuzziness. “Not fuzzy-headed,” he says, “but crisp. A crisp softness to it.” Soon he was experiencing a level of concentration he’d never imagined. “My senses sort of shifted to the visual, and my auditory sense went down. Sounds didn’t even register. It was like walking around on a winter day when it just snowed. It was very easy to stay visually focused.”

Next came a head rush. “I sensed it was blood actually moving to the optic nerve. Your eyes start to feel very sort of engorged, and your awareness comes to the front of your face, which is kind of a freaky sensation. I would describe it as being very much like Adderall, but without the speediness.”

Tasks that were usually soul-crushing now had his undivided attention. He spent hours fine-tuning ad campaigns for his new business, and his output wasn’t just faster and longer—it was better. “I didn’t take as many breaks; I didn’t get as frustrated; the stuff came out with fewer errors,” he says. “I never felt, Oh, let’s just get it done. I polished things.” As long as he kept taking the pill, his focus never wavered. “Time took on an entirely different sort of quality.” He was even happier. “There were some very potent anti-anxiety effects. Which was strange. I didn’t think I was an anxious person, but I guess I was.”

Modafinil, which is marketed as Provigil in the United States, was first approved by the FDA in 1998 for the treatment of narcolepsy, but since then it’s become better known as a nootropic, a “smart drug,” especially among entrepreneurs. More recently, it has attracted traders like Borden who don’t just need a pick-me-up to get through a deadline; they need to be on, without a break, for months, even years at a time.

Modafinil Is Like…
Reviews From Online Commenters

“A Prius compared to a Ferrari … profound yet at the same time subtle and not overwhelming.”

“A digital camera that took perfectly recognizable pictures, but now had a few more megapixels.”

“A borderline anxiety attack.”

And that’s modafinil’s reputation. It is rumored to be the model for the fictional pills in the movie Limitless that allowed Bradley Cooper’s character to use 100 percent of his brain. Timothy Ferriss, author of the best-selling The 4-Hour Work Week, recently dished about its effects with modafinil fan Joe Rogan, the former host of Fear Factor, on Rogan’s popular podcast. Probably its biggest booster is Dave Asprey, founder of the Bulletproof Executive web forum, where he blogged about the drug’s powers (headline: “Why You Are Suffering From a Modafinil Deficiency”). Last summer, ABC News did a segment on Asprey in which he compared taking it to the scene in The Wizard of Oz where everything blossoms from black-and-white to color.

Last month, modafinil’s penetration into the culture was confirmed by the American Medical Association’s journal Internal Medicine, which published a University of California, San Francisco, study reporting that U.S. prescriptions increased almost tenfold over the past decade. Far and away, most of those were for off-label use.

In New York, Borden is hearing more chatter about it among traders and hedge-funders, though they don’t tend to boast about it in the same way as the tech guys. “There’s something, I think, about guys who write code for a living that makes them very interested in hacking things—finding shortcuts, stuff like that,” he says. “Whereas with guys on Wall Street, it’s more testosterone-fueled; it’s more just power through it.” In a conversation on WallStreet*Oasis.com titled “Viagra for the Brain,” one commenter gushed, “This is not like *caffeine or 5 Hour Energy. This is the big leagues.”

Unlike Ritalin or Adderall, modafinil isn’t an amphetamine and doesn’t flood the body with dopamine in the same way. For this reason, scientists originally believed it to be non-habit-forming, though some are beginning to doubt this claim. Users on message boards talk about how modafinil doesn’t so much speed them up as clear their minds. “Most of the drugs that people do in our society are things like alcohol that make you stupider instead of smarter,” mobile-software entrepreneur Jesse Law*ler said in a recent podcast about modafinil for his website SmartDrugSmarts.com.

The entrepreneur Daniel Tenner used modafinil to launch his first company while still working for the consulting firm Accenture. “Every day,” he wrote on swombat.com, a site for entrepreneurs, “I would sleep at 11 p.m. sharp. I would then wake up at 4 a.m., work until 7 a.m., then nap for an hour before going to work at my day job. I then also worked weekends.”

Of course, its ascendancy is also cause for some alarm. No scientist has conducted a study of its long-term effects on healthy brains yet. At the very least, doctors have warned that modafinil can bring about sleep deprivation (or, in the words of the Internal Medicine paper, “hypersensitivity reactions and neuropsychiatric adverse effects”). The modafinil moment has even prompted a secondary conversation among sociologists and economists about the anxiety of staying ahead in today’s competitive economy, and microeconomic predictions about a future in which everyone sleeps less: fewer mattress sales, more dollars spent at bars and nightclubs, more sex, and more children.

For Borden, life on modafinil really did feel like a real-life (if somewhat toned-down) Limitless. Things get hairy for the character in the movie—there’s addiction and withdrawal and tragedy before the tidy Hollywood ending. The first downside Borden noticed was in line with the film: He couldn’t drink. “I went out for a drink, and then I had another drink. And because I was so energized and focused, I got drunk faster. It kind of freaked me out, because time would sort of fly by. I’d be here, and then I’d be here. Almost like mini-*blackouts. I very quickly cut out alcohol.”

Then he ran into an even bigger problem: Skip a dose, and there would be hell to pay. “I really would feel it. It was sort of like being thrust into dirty, messy reality, as opposed to a clean, neatly organized place. It was like crashing, and I actually found what would happen is the anxiety that got dialed down on the way in, when you were coming off it, all of a sudden you went through the reverse. So I got incredibly anxious. Eventually that concerned me.” He stopped after three weeks. He says he’s more comfortable trying to get the same effect through meditation and, of all things, getting a good night’s sleep. He remains a little in awe of the pill, though. “It’s a great hack.”

Thats what they said about crack long before folks realized that it will have you begging to suck some dealer joint, for your next fix.

Marketing ploy

Yep. I have some and have been using it whenever my schedule requires me to stay up late or if I need to study for an exam.
The major effects I felt were, increased memory retention and depending on what you take it, your sleep schedule will be affected big time.

I have never tried coke or crack so I cant make a comparison to that and modafinil. I haven't tried ritalin or adderal either mainly because of the side effects that I have heard about, namely the limp dick syndrome that people have mentioned.

Whenever I have taken modafinil, I would take half a pill, 50mg or a whole pill, 100mg. The label says the recommended dosage is 100mg a day. I couldn't imagine taking 200mg or more a day of this stuff and being able to get a decent nights rest.

The only people I could see using this on a regular basis at the recommended dose are narcoleptics, college students and individuals in time intensive careers.

I have not drank alcohol after I took this. I couldn't imagine people taking this and going out drinking or doing any drugs while on it. My reason for shying away from drinking while taking this is because of the potential side effects. Too many unknowns and while I am experimental, I am risk adverse when it comes to products that I am not using for its intended purpose.

I mainly take it because I work graveyard shifts on the weekend and my classes are during the daytime. Even with my schedule, I only take it when I need to study for an exam or finals. I have drank energy drinks after I have taken modafinil though. Whenever I did that, I literally would not sleep even when I was tired and wanted to. I would recommend against taking any other energy drinks or supplement while using this.

Having read the book and taken modafinil, the limitless comparisons are pure bullshit. It doesn't make you smarter it helps you do more of what you are already doing.

Modafinil is also pretty expensive if you are buying it off the internet or without a prescription. About $200 bucks for thirty pills.

Sounds like a great thing too assist in studying for certs.

bullshit..

how a muthafucka go from being NOT taking man made medicine...

I aint touching that bullshit with a ten foot pole..

give it about two years for the brain tumor lawsuits to spring up...

I've tried a few nootropic's in the recent past. I'm a member of a nootropic's forum and a group on FB. I've read some minor reports of this making other health issues stand out, then I've seen it have very little effect. I'm still researching this a bit more. I'd do a bit more research before you buy any. A good amount of them are just placebos IMO.

starts talking about the drug about 5:10 mark:

Good listen.

All these drugs are stimulants of some sort.

The guy talking to Rogan was right on the money when he said he would go to sleep for 12 hours at a time.

I used to take adderall all the time. When I would come down off of it I would fall asleep almost instantly. I would have plans for the night and sleep right through them. You also can suffer from depression episodes because your mind is now coming down from the "high" of the drugs.

Be careful if you take any sort of stimulant.

Just take 30MG of Adderall and you'll be surprised what that will do for you.

I've done adderall and got FOCUSED.

Some of the miniscule technical aspects of what I do, can wear me out, but with adderall, I'm in all day, plus the appetite suppresant side- I lost some good weight :lol:

I had to take one at 2pm cuz if you take one anywhere near sundown- you will NOT SLEEP.

I had bootleg shit that I could never get again, which is probably all the better cuz I could see me hooked on it.

very very interesting .... if anybody is researching on how to cop some post your feedback here. Or for people that have already gotten some what did you tell your Dr in order to get prescribed.

Yeah man...I've stayed up for two days straight on ADD. It is no joke.

I too lost a ton of weight on it. As soon as I stopped taking it, I gained all that shit back.

I'm subscribed. I just googled the name of the drug and no prescription. Theres lots of generics, that I think you have to go to the site dude mentioned above to see reviews. I knew of one before

wait, I remember it now

The edge manifest itself in ones insecurities.

How many experts in a craft have you ever had a conversation with ?

Its a warp, that causes severe imbalances in natural life. Enjoy.

But first go talk to someone who indulges in powder cocaine & thats successful. Coke has that same stimulant. Caffeine also, go to Starbucks & get a triple espresso. If you can concentrate & focus then(empty stomach) , you might have above average brain capabilities. Its a flash. Try that before moving into super drugs.

If Limitelss the movie by itself, didnt inspire you to do something different the next day after seeing it. A pill is only going to inpsire you to make a fool of yourself. False confidence like alcohol.

You know the reason alcohol helps you get more chics ? Is because you dont take rejection personally. You're lit, & could give a fuck.

Go get yoruself a Macha tea powder mixed right.

MODAFINIL USED TO KEEP THE MILITARY AWAKE

POSTED ON: 01/01/12 CATEGORY: MODAFINIL, MODAFINIL USAGE

Military personnel from different countries are operating in war zones around the world and remaining awake night and day. Due to advanced military research into tablets designed to keep them alert and functional for up to and more than 40 hours straight, absent the hyper hangover and/or crashing letdown. In many past conflicts soldiers required to remain alert as a life or death necessity used stimulants to stay awake. These worked but came at the price of adverse reactions such as edginess, making bad decisions, and the requirement for additional sleep when the pill popping was ended.

The military studied the drug modafinil as a means to keep their forces awake over short stretches of time. In the U.S military research showed that on average recruits were able to remain awake and operational for 40 hours and grab eight hours of sleep then remain awake for a further 40 hours and not have their cognitive ability prejudiced in any way as it would have with the previous “uppers” that were in use.

This kind of envelope pushing by the military is frightening some medical experts that claim modafinil, or marketed in Canada as Alertec and in the U.S as Provigil, could have adverse health effects on those trying the limits of the drug. It was originally produced as a treatment for sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, assisting these patients to keep awake. Some people are using modafinil for to fight symptoms of multiple sclerosis [MS]. Off labeling of modafinil is rampant and the military is just taking it to the next level.

This medication is not physically addictive though some have reported a psychological requirement and feeling of anxiety if they begin to run out of modafinil. When ordinary citizens begin to feel the need to remain awake for extended periods of time to complete assignments or perform better at work and begin to abuse modafinil as a lifestyle drug will the sequence just carry on? Off labeling of eugeroics or “good feelings” medications are becoming more popular in society. One hundred fifty thousand people are prescribed modafinil to treat narcolepsy but 250,000 people are using it and many without a medical sleep condition.

The U.S. manufacturer of modafinil published some patient observations to its web domain and it showed that a quarter of the users suffered from narcolepsy, some had multiple sclerosis while others were plagued by depression. The concerning thing is that there was a substantial number of users who listed their condition as “Other”. Now, overall there may be legitimate reasons for individuals other those fighting for our freedom to be taking modafinil, but there is little doubt that a large number of modafinil users are taking the drug simply because they want to stay awake. Drugs that fall into the “lifestyle” category always run the risk of being abused to some extent and this makes it difficult for those who have a definite medical need for the drug. The medication may not necessarily hurt these casual users overtly, they may suffer eventually and cause harm to themselves due to a lack of sleep.

Simply stated there are too many questions revolving around the use of modafinil in general to understand all the eventualities from sleep deficiency. However, we do understand that a lack of sleep will make people lethargic. Their ability to respond to stimulus will be decreased. They will become accident prone. Anyone who drives while in a sleep deficient state will perform as poorly behind the wheel as someone who is under the influence of alcohol.

There is a noted spike in car accidents reported between the hours of 2:00 am and 5:00 am due to the number of sleep deprived people behind the wheel at that hour. There are diabetic like numbers when blood glucose levels are tested in people who are exhausted due to no sleep. Experts fear that the pressure to perform that is placed on many in society will place pressure on some individuals to succumb and begin taking modafinil for non medical reasons. Modafinil is not alone in this practice.

It is impractical from a health standpoint to stay awake and fight the body’s natural tendency to require sleep. One could likely drink copious amounts of coffee or caffeine laden drinks and get the same wakeful result but feel lousy afterward. Experts urge people if at all possible to get a good night’s sleep for the overall health benefits it will bring. One of the first questions my own doctor asks me is “am I getting enough rest?” He asks me this because of my tendency to work at odd hours due to the nature of my work and my clientele being in different time zones.

Hen modafinil is evaluated against more popular stimulants like Dexedrine and Ritalin, there is a marked difference in the way it metabolizes through the system and the adverse reactions are different from a recovery stand point especially. There is no hypertension associated with using it and never a feeling of being “wired” afterwards, these common nervous system effects, just are not present. Yet the risk is still present.

No one really understands yet what the chemical reaction is in the brain, what is it actually working on in there? There should be more oversight given to purposely stimulating someone’s system and brain for no apparent medical reason when there is so much research data still to be rooted out.

On the same token young people in past wars and present have been and will be offered other pills to stay alert and if it is not this seemingly benign medication than it may well be something we know is dangerous when overused like amphetamines. It should be noted that if someone has a legitimate medical reason to take modafinil or they already have a brain impairment of some kind and require it for treatment, than the difference is obvious when used in this circumstance as opposed to a healthy soldier or the average Joe or Jane.

Certain countries have militaries that are sowing an interest in Modafinil other than the United States Military. Many currently use amphetamines for their troops when they are in a combat role so they remain in an alert and readily prepared state to complete sometimes prolonged operations. The French administration has pointed out that their elite Foreign Legion service has taken modafinil during some undercover actions. The British Governments Defense Ministry has also acknowledged their interest in modafinil for their forces and have invested over £300,000. or approximately $516,000 USD into continuing research about modafinil use in their ranks.

The United States Military has already given the thumbs up to their Air Force to use modafinil particular missions where they feel it is warranted and they are looking into other uses for it. In a certain trial done on helicopter pilots showed that 600 mg of modafinil administered in three dosages was enough to maintain the pilot’s pre drug accuracy levels over a forty hour period with zero sleep. The pilots were able to keep their alertness at peak levels over the extended sleep deprived time period.

There was however, considerable nausea and dizziness experienced. A study that was performed on fighter pilots demonstrated when modafinil was administered in three 100 mg amounts, maintained the flight control ability of sleep deficient F117 fighter bomber pilots to inside roughly 27% of the required accuracy minimums for up to 37 hour and there were no adverse reactions experienced. The military held an 88 hour operations exercise/study in which the participants were given 400 mg daily of modafinil and found it to be only slightly useful in sustaining awareness and adequate function levels in soldiers when evaluated alongside the placebo group. It was decided by the authors of the trial that the amount of medication administered did not meet the needs of those whose tasks were affected by such a dramatic deficiency in sleep.

Modafinil Study and Its Effect on Helicopter Pilots

This was a double blind study that was placebo restricted conducted to determine the effectiveness of maintaining the preparedness and professional accuracy of pilots when using modafinil.

Approved in 1998 by the FDA, modafinil was initially meant to treat the illness narcolepsy, specifically the daytime drowsiness that was associated with it. When discussions began about off label use for sleep deprivation in circumstances where an operator was at the controls of a piece of hardware, military or otherwise, veiled queries arose about the suitability of such drug use. Volunteers put their performance on the line taking modafinil to assist with completing extremely risky assignments in a sleep deficient state.

The primary purpose of the demanding study was to establish the viability of administering adequately preventative amounts of modafinil to sustain a pilot’s standard capabilities and awareness during a couple days and one complete evening deprived of sleep.

Half a dozen helicopter aviators where challenged to two forty hour time frames of nonstop vigilance. During the first phase three 200 mg quantities of modafinil were prescribed and in phase two the same doses of a placebo pill were given to the participants. The aviators took part in helicopter simulation exercises, had their hearts monitored when at rest via EEG’s, and they provided psychological disposition surveys that were assessed by the experts.

The resulting data showed that modafinil did ease the sleep deficit during four of six flying exercises, there was a reduction in slow wave brain monitoring, and fewer self assessed troubles pertaining to disposition and awareness when evaluated alongside the placebo. The majority of adverse reactions appeared to be dizziness, queasiness and loss of balance. This was a trial that revolved around movement so this may have had some bearing on the side effects. There are incidence due to flight simulators referred to as simulator sickness that occurs because of the use of virtual flight equipment instead of the real flying machines. Their also may have been dosages administered that were beyond the 400 mg dosages of modafinil. These explanations remain unverified.

Researchers concluded that modafinil appears to be a capable drug and relatively safe supplement for control based technicians and operators; however further data is required to improve the adverse reactions apparent in this initial trial before it can be utilized by pilots in actual flight.

The recent ABC Nightline piece about me using modafinil as a cognitive enhancer brought out a lot of comments.
This recent publicity became the first time some followers realized I use smart drugs, even though I have been very public for more than a decade about my use of smart drugs to increase my health and performance, including modafinil. This post is here to answer questions that lots of people are asking about modafinil and smart drugs in general.
I’ve attempted to capture them all here; if I missed one, please comment on this post.
Q: “I thought you were all natural and I’m disappointed to hear you use cognitive enhancers.”
A: This blog – and biohacking in general – is about doing all you can safely do to achieve your biological goals. My goals are to live longer, maximize my potential, and literally radiate energy. Of course I use the smart drugs that are safe, and I believe that modafinil is one of the safe ones for a variety of reasons. If you use a healthy diet, or Tylenol, to get more done, you’re doing exactly the same thing as me using smart drugs. The only exception is that Tylenol is more dangerous than most smart drugs, believe it or not (much more toxic to your liver). Many smart drugs (not including modafinil) are neuroprotective and probably extend brain cell life.
Q: How do you know your sleep hacking experiments – and the Bulletproof diet actually work? You were just hopped up on drugs.
A: I went off modafinil for 3 months in the middle of my experiment to see how I did. I was fine, but modafinil is an improvement. When I started taking it, my neurological function was such that modafinil was transformative and amazing. It was a 50% boost at the higher doses prescribed. Since 2002 when I started, I’ve increased my health and cognitive function using Bulletproof Coffee and the Bulletproof Dietand things like Upgraded Aging, which let me ramp down the dose. But most days, I take it because it gives me a 10% boost even in my already “supercharged” state. That 10% helps me be a better father, husband, and provider. It also raises my ability to meditate as measured by EEG, and it helps me to better serve others.
Modafinil helped me write The Better Baby Book and this blog, all while working full time as a successful executive and raising 2 young children. In fact, in the wake of these comments, I ran another small test. I didn’t take any modafinil. Went to sleep at 3am. Woke at 4am. Drove to airport. At 6:30am I flew from Victoria to Ottowa, arriving at 5:30pm. Business dinner until 11pm. Slept from 1:00am to 5:00am (4 hours). Had Bulletproof coffee. Sat in meetings for 8 hours straight, awake, with one more coffee. Hopped on a plane back to Victoria (7 hour total journey). No modafinil. I was alert and highly productive in the meetings – this is what vibrant health does for me. But on modafinil, I’d probably have been more alert and energetic. I’d have felt just like I do now – but more.
Q: What dose do you take?
A: I took 200mg in the morning and 100-200 at lunch at first before I discovered Bulletproof Coffee and the diet. The health increases I experienced let me ramp my dose down to 100mg/day, sometimes 50, and sometimes none. I always perform well if I eat the right foods, avoid the toxins, and have butter and MCT oil. Provigil is an added boost, not a requirement.
Q: When do you take it?
A: Morning. Maybe at lunch. I never take it at night unless I’m driving and really tired.
Q: Where do you get modafinil?
A: Get it from your doctor with a prescription.
Readers of the blog have recommended some sites for ordering online with or without a prescription, but I have not tried them and do not endorse them specifically. Use at your own risk. I’ll make a separate postwith their suggestions later today.
Q: How do I get a prescription?
A: In the US, it is legally prescribed for “shift worker sleep disorder” and narcolepsy, and insurance will usually reimburse for it. It is also commonly prescribed for ADD and ADHD, and sometimes for MS, lupus, or chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia. Describe your symptoms to your doctor. Ask for a prescription. The links here may help you fully grasp the symptoms you need to have to qualify for a prescription. (and as a side note, when are we going to decide we don’t need $150 permission slips from our doctors to decide what substances we want to put into our own bodies? But I digress . . ..)
Q: What are the risks and side effects of modafinil?
A: Low but not non-existent. Check out my comment, and reader Elspeth’s response for more information.
Q: What do you do to mitigate the risk?
I like my brain, the risk appears low to me, however I want to give my brain additional support. Here is what I do to keep it healthy
  • Upgraded Aging which is very neuroprotective but has multiple other anti-aging benefits too, like blood sugar, genetic expression improvements, etc.
  • MCT oil, a form of coconut oil extract with 6 times more of the active MCTs than coconut oil. See Mary Newport podcast for discussion of how a physician used MCT oil to reverse early onset Alzheimer’s in her husband. (It also works for weight loss).
  • Upgraded Coffee (or a suitable low-toxin coffee if you don’t want to buy mine . . .) which, if brewed without a paper filter (think French Press or espresso) contains two potent anti-inflammatory brain agents, cafestol and kahweol (coffee benefits).
  • Upgraded glutathione – a very potent, highly absorbable anti-oxidant that helps the body to remove toxins rapidly. Glutathione is required in the brain.
  • Krill oil – a form of fish oil useful for the brain
  • Aniracetam – another smart drug that is neuroprotective
  • Runny or raw egg yolks – full of choline your brain needs.
Am I plugging my own products here? Yes. I designed these formulas specifically for my own health and brain function and had them made because I wanted the best for myself. I give them to my family. I sell them at a much lower profit than normal companies would. They are the best in the world. I have never made one cent from the sales – so far, all the income from all sales goes to pay for more research and the operation of this blog, which itself serves 100,000 people per month, for free. Q: I’m in college or high school. Should I take it?
A: God no! And stay away from Adderall (prescription meth) too. Good quality coffee (low toxin) is ok in the morning for most people at these ages. Your brain won’t be mature fully until 23-25 years old!
Q: Modafinil is a dangerous addictive narcotic like meth.
A: Uh, no it ‘s not. Not even in the stimulant category. It’s “arousal promoting” not stimulating. You can sleep after you take it; it’s just that you don’t want to. It is not a narcotic. It is not addictive – there is no street value for it. My wife, a Karolinska-trained physician who ran drug and alcohol addiction clinics, flat out says, “I’ve never had an addict ask me for it. It is not addictive.” I found I actually decreased my dose as my health improved.
Q: You used it to sleep only 5 hours a night.
A: No, I didn’t. I slept only 5 hours per night because I had things to do and I was experimenting on myself. I used modafinil to increase my performance during the day after less sleep, but I tested (for 3 months) not using modafinil at all. I programmed myself for more efficient sleep (see podcast with advanced brain monitoring) for more details.
Q: It’s immoral. If you use it, everyone else will have to.
A: No. Only those who want to will take it. Do you drink coffee? Do you use fire to stay warm? Do you use electric lights to out-compete people who have none? How about agriculture? Reading glasses? Technology for human performance is not new.
Q: Do you think you are not good enough without it?
This question makes me smile. I used biohacking to get the same brain state as someone who spends 20-40 years in daily zen practice. I am a certified heart math coach and can control my stress consciously, and I know Art of Living breathing and yoga. I *love* myself and know I’m “good enough.”
I also know my potential, and I believe I owe it to myself to do everything within my power to best serve others, including my family, coworkers, the team here at Bulletproof Executive, the thousands of people who have used this site to upgrade their lives, and the many more who keep coming here seeking knowledge. Modafinil helps me do that. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t live my life fully? I don’t know; that’s not who I am. So I will continue to use all methods I can find to maximize my abilities, including electronic, pharmaceutical (selected, safe ones), meditation, occasional exercise, Whole body vibration, supplements, Bulletproof Coffee, and the Bulletproof Diet.
