And, he's still spouting outrageous lies and talking trash on Twitter — except now, the consequences could be catastrophic.
Now he istweeting threats to North Korea— saying that if China doesn't "properly deal with" the country, the United States will. That tweet, from an American President, is being treated not like a rogue comment from an immoral, inexperienced reality TV star — which it is — but like an official statement from a man holding the highest office in the world. The fallout has been swift and scary.
While we were sleeping last night, China, one of the world's great nuclear and military powers, warned that the country provoking a conflictwith North Korea would "pay the price."

"Lately, tensions have risen ... and one has the feeling that a conflict could break out at any moment,"said China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi. "If a war occurs, the result is a situation in which everybody loses and there can be no winner."
Trump tweets fuel 'vicious cycle' of tension: Korean official
North Korea's foreign ministerthen issued a statementthat Donald Trump is "making trouble" with his "aggressive" tweets.
This is not a test. This is not a dream. It's exactly what millions of us thought could happen. The man whom a judge just ordered to pay $25 million to people defrauded by Trump University is inflaming tensions with nuclear powers, by the minute, with his Twitter fingers. These issues are far more delicate and complicated and nuanced than Trump understands. These aren't real estate deals for bankrupted properties. This is not WrestleMania, where Trump runs out and shaves Vince McMahon's head for laughs, before walking backstage to clean up behind the curtains. This is not some cheesy beauty pageant. Trump's words, whether he means them or not, whether he has thought them through or not, have a domino effect of consequences.

Of course, what the President of the United States says always has consequences. It's just that now we have a Presidentwhose own kitchen was just cited for 13 health violationsright before serving the Prime Minister of Japan. Now we have a President who has been under investigation by the FBI for nearly a year.
Trump's tweets are dangerous. They are raising the temperature level of the world and stressing everyday people (and world leaders) out. To say that all of this could go very wrong is incorrect. It is already going very wrong. We must now hold out hope that it doesn't get much worse — except I just don't see how that's possible.
Trump blasted for effort to quickly build up 'deportation force'
Trump has been in office for just three months. He has 45 months to go in his first term. He's simply being himself — and that's the problem. The man is not going to shapeshift into something he isn't. His ignorance and ego could get us all killed.
