NBC Contact Extended Through 2010

NBC Sports will have exclusive rights to broadcast Notre Dame home football games through 2010 under a five-year contract extension. The extension continues a relationship begun in 1991 and is expected to quiet speculation that Notre Dame football would end its independence and join a conference.

Financial terms of the deals have never been disclosed, but the University acknowledges that most of the proceeds are funneled into student financial aid. A press release said 111 undergraduates at the University this year are receiving need-based scholarships averaging $17,600 from an endowment funded by revenue from the contract. Since the inception of that fund, 1,263 undergraduates have received more than $12.6 million.

Man, Illinois looked GOOOOOD today, Juice Williams is the real deal. I used to visit Champaign/Urbana a lot, kicked it at Kam's and PTs (I think it was ) bar. Damn bars closed at 1am though, that was some bullshit.

I'll give one Cub props, Kerry Wood is a fuckin warrior, dude came in the other day and pitched out of a two on, no outs jam, retired three straight, and with all his injuries is still throwing 96MPH heat. He's not a bitch like Mark Prior. And don't worry, the Sox will be back next season. They looked like ass this year, but I'm still on the '05 high, that was good enough to last me a lifetime.

Used to think so until I watched him play a whole game, Zook benched his ass in the 4th qtr. Apparently he cant hit the side of Assembly hall from the parking lot. Mcgee stepped in and ran for 53 yards. From what Ive seen, Mcgee is the better all around QB, but Juice has the name. Even if he holds off Mcgee this year, next year its a wrap. Jacob Charest, from Butler highschool, Charlotte N.C. is gonna push his ass hard next year. Ole boy can actually complete a forward pass. No he cant run like Juice, but passing to Benn, Cumberland and Hudson would be a more productive way of moving the football. Im not saying hes garbage, but if he cant pass worth a damn The Illini arent gonna take the next step. Good win for them though.

As much as cats on this board always wanna dog the Big-10 conference, I keep tellin y'all that it's mad talent up there, and some prety good coaches too.

Dont sleep on the Cowboys 1st-round pick this year out of Purdue, OLB Anthony Spencer. He's a 4-3 end, but Dallas is using him as a 3-4 pass-rushing linebacker. With him & DeMarcus Ware flying off that edge, Dallas might have the NFC on lock.
