The official billboard 200 soundscans numbers

I'm speaking in the artistic sense.

You're comparing a POP artist with huge crossover appeal, with a "rap" artist who has NO crossover appeal (and who's also fat and ugly), yet still sells well. Come back when B.o.B. has 3 #1 albums.

I'd also say that your BGOL career is greater than Rick Ross's music career, to give you a sense of how little I think of his music.

That statement is meaningless and silly, as usual.

All of the songs from the album were big R&B hits and made the pop Top 40, with "OMG" being a gigantic worldwide #1 (his 9th). It's all about singles these days. Album sales are a bonus. Usher has done EXTEMELY well, given that people were writing him off. (Not to mention his huge success with Bieber, the biggest male teen idol since MJ.)

I was in Cali this weekend & Usher owns LA radio...him & Drake are HEAVY in rotation. Usher new "techno" single is blasting every 5 minutes on all the stations out there.

Come back when B.o.B. has 3 #1 albums.

That #1 album shit is subjective. How long you stay @ #1 is more relevant than debuting first on a soft release date.

I guess all that suicide drama aint do shit for her sales.

11 05 03 Back To Me, Fantasia 29,423 -27 40,125 186,605

Actually that's surprising good for her to be at number 11. She's still moved 29,000 last week. 40,000 the week before. 500,000 will be great for her right now.

Oh, so his group was made up of teen idols, like the Backstreet Boys and New Edition.

All of whom come between Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber.

The GROUP was the "teen idol," and not the individuals. Which part don't you get?? And Donny Osmond is right there too. He was bigger than MJ when he was Bieber's age.

Bump for you so called Rick Ross fans who couldn't even make his shit go gold.

Bawse

Nigga had all the help all the marketing and all the cameos.

Fat biitch ass mother of 5 build bastard.

And her single has been getting a lot of play and, if she has a writing credit for it, is where she can make her money plus it gives her another song to tour on.

What I understand is the point was made that Justin Bieber was biggest male teen idol since Michael Jackson and that was incorrect.
N'SYNC as a group was bigger and Justin Timberlake as a solo was bigger (he sang a pop/r&b style but he was still a teen idol. They didn't stop putting him on the cover of Teen Beat, did they?).
The same could be said for the Backstreet Boys as a group (no standout solo from the group) and many others.

the real reason rap sales are down, is because everybody is an artist or has a mix CD or some shit coming out...

a byproduct of that is now when 8 out of 10 consumers are "artists", they no longer become fans but your competition...how do you sell albums to your competition?

shit is silly out here man - i bet every one of you dudes reading this are, or know somebody who is trying to still "get on" in their 30's or late 20's and can't rap for shit...
