The Nazi elf sessions strikes again. Rubmaps shut down.

Personals sites are being shut down do to a new law passed by congress. This is what's posted on Craigslist now:

US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

Craigslist shuts down personal ads after sex trafficking bill passes

Craigslist has shut down its personals sections after Congress passed a measure intended to crack down on online sex trafficking.

In a statement posted on its website on Friday, Craigslist said that it could not risk being held liable for postings made by users that may advertise sex or potentially illegal interactions.

"US Congress just passed HR 1865, 'FOSTA', seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully," the statement reads, referring to the Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act.

"Any tool or service can be misused," it continues. "We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking Craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day."

The Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017 (FOSTA), passed by both chambers of Congress, amends a longstanding provision absolving online platforms of liability for content posted by their users, making it easier to target websites with legal action for enabling prostitution and sex trafficking.

The Senate passed the measure on Wednesday, while the House approved it last month. President Trump is expected to sign it.

Advocates for the legislation argue that it will help to curb the growing online sex trafficking industry. Opponents, especially in the tech industry, have argued that it amounts to a form of censorship and could make online companies vulnerable to lawsuits.

Craigslist wasn't the only site to make changes after the bill passed.

Reddit on Thursday announced new rules banning trades of firearms, paid sex, false documents or currency. It did not mention FOSTA in their announcement. Reddit also banned some of subreddits including r/escorts, r/hookers and r/shoplifting.

Damn craigslist shut down the entire personal section.... gawd damn

I wonder if POF is next cause there are a lot of escorts on their to.

Man RIP rubmaps

Gawd damn MAGA is fucking up everything.

Side note this isn’t Sessions shit.... Fucking Congress passed this horseshit.

Man people need to read that bill... I thought that it just focused on those harmed from sex trafficking where a site promoted prostitution but it looks like it doesn’t focus on the victim... and focuses on the location of the site and prostitution. It’s also horribly written... the way this reads all kinds of fucking websites can be Subject to civil or criminal liability.

Plenty of Fish and other free dating sites now fall under this shit. Also some of the adult dating sites like adultfriendfinder would too. This shit is crazy and another example that Niggas need to vote in the midterms.

Cause Porn is next on the chopping block. There is a growing movement of Repubs trying to attack the porn industry.

Heh. And folks thought they were going to get in trouble when they started fucking with the money. This doesn't end well for you Washington cats....

Not sure why...i believe Pornhub had a poll that the highest usage comes from Kansas or Oklahoma...

Hypocrisy at its finest...using the cover of sex trafficking to go after porn to appease the Christian Right while the President is tricking on porn stars and prostitutes....even fucking them raw....and if these websites can be held liable for making sex trafficking easier then why cant the NRA be held liable as they have gone against every single measure designed to reduce murders through reducing easy access to high powered firearms...imagine, you had a virtual spot where all the hoes congregrated...good police work could have used Backpage to bring down all sorts of sex trafficking rings...now they have all scattered into the wind and hidden while still doing the same shit

which is not a bad thing, but they never go after the top pedos with power...

they alway go after the lil guy, just like the drug game..

it could be done well with the ho game, but too many snitches and bitter bitches that would fuck the game up,

they need to just legalize the shit like they do in amsterdam....

majority of the hoes on backpage and craigslist were far from the sex trafficking game..

those sex traffickers market their victims to folks with money and influence...

I bet trump knows a couple of them personally..

I think people need to see what's in this bill and understand how fucked up it is... I'm going to highlight the parts you need to pay attention to.

H.R.1865 - Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017

Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017

(Sec. 2) This bill expresses the sense of Congress that section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934 was not intended to provide legal protection to websites that unlawfully promote and facilitate prostitution and websites that facilitate traffickers in advertising the sale of unlawful sex acts with sex trafficking victims. Section 230 limits the legal liability of interactive computer service providers or users for content they publish that was created by others.

(Sec. 3) The bill amends the federal criminal code to add a new section that imposes penalties—a fine, a prison term of up to 10 years, or both—on a person who, using a facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce, owns, manages, or operates an interactive computer service (or attempts or conspires to do so) to promote or facilitate the prostitution of another person. (This is one reason for the shut downs)

Additionally, it establishes enhanced penalties—a fine, a prison term of up to 25 years, or both—for a person who commits the offense in one of the following aggravating circumstances: (1) promotes or facilitates the prostitution of five or more persons, or (2) acts with reckless disregard that such conduct contributes to sex trafficking.

A person injured by an aggravated offense may recover damages and attorneys' fees in a federal civil action. (This is the main reason why these sites are shutting the fuck down)

A court must order mandatory restitution, in addition to other criminal or civil penalties, for an aggravated offense in which a person acts with reckless disregard that such conduct contributes to sex trafficking.

A defendant may assert, as an affirmative defense, that the promotion or facilitation of prostitution is legal in the jurisdiction where it was targeted.

(Sec. 4) The bill amends the Communications Act of 1934 to declare that section 230 does not limit: (1) a federal civil claim for conduct that constitutes sex trafficking, (2) a federal criminal charge for conduct that constitutes sex trafficking, or (3) a state criminal charge for conduct that promotes or facilitates prostitution in violation of this bill.

The amendments apply regardless of whether alleged conduct occurs before, on, or after this bill's enactment.

(Sec. 5) The bill amends the federal criminal code to define a phrase related to the prohibition on sex trafficking. Currently, it a crime to knowingly benefit from participation in a venture that engages in sex trafficking. This bill defines "participation in a venture" to mean knowingly assisting, supporting, or facilitating a sex trafficking violation.

(Sec. 6) A state may file a federal civil action to enforce federal sex trafficking violations.

(Sec. 7) This section states that this bill does not limit federal or state civil actions or criminal prosecutions that are not preempted by section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934.

(Sec. 8) The Government Accountability Office must report to Congress on information related to damages and mandatory restitution for aggravated offenses under this bill.

It the reckless disregard part that is the Killer diller of this act... Basically these sites can no longer turn a blind eye and reckless disregard isn't even really defined. (Is it one time? or Is it multiple time? What is classified as reckless? Is it the criminal meaning? Who can be classified as a victim under the civil penalties? The girls put into sex trafficking or their families or is it both?) Basically... If you own or operate site where it's known that prostitutes use it you can be royally fucked. and it doesn't even have to be website... "interactive computer service"... That includes forums too like the USAsexguide or Worldsexguide.

The next thing up... is going to be porn websites.

In other words... when the mid-terms come... VOTE!!!

“Escorts” are all up in Twitter now.

Under this law... Twitter, facebook, Snapchat, & instagram... would still be liable.

Facebook and Twitter have the biggest exposure because of how easy it is to create a profile and connect to multiple people in a specific area.
