As I stated in the jerk chicken thread this is the stovetop smoker that I got. It works nicely but the main disadvantage is the small amounts that you can put in it. The clearance between the rack/stand that the food is on and the top that you slide onto it is minimal. Two fish fillets (dinner for two) or about 3 nice pork chops or a slab of ribs (a slab with about ten ribs) is all that will fit. It's currently unavailable

I prefer to use an older stainless-steel pot big enough to put a large pork shoulder in with plenty of room (about 22qts) so that I can make a few large meals cooked at the same time and eat over several days. Don't feel like pulling it out for several meals. The pots old with a handle missing so I don't care about using it as a smoker.
