The Howard Stern Show is officially being canceled by SiriusXM after two decades on the air.

I listen to his show regularly and he hates Podcasts.

Howard paid his dues starting his radio career in the 1970s making minimum wage at shitty radio stations.

He hates seeing mofos start a Podcast and making big money instantly. He went on a long rant when Hawk Tuah girl got a podcast with a nice contract.

It doesn't sound like he hates podcasts it just sounds like he hates how easy it is for people with no talent or experience to immediately start one and start getting paid money that doesn't equal their talent or success.

If he does start one I doubt he'd do it full time or even close but I could see him starting a channel to just do occasional 1-2 hour interviews with A list guests.

Plus he spoke out against Trump.....
Clowned trump in the day but...end came after old shows dug up un-filtered trump/epstein bro-mance and their hunt for youngins.

Surprised hes lasted this long....I used to listen/watch him back in the late 90's and early 2000's.

I know he got the major contract from sirius and had a flagship show but in all the years ive had satellite radio I havent listened to him once...theres so many superior options on satellite radio

I listened to Karen Hunter for the short time I had SiriusXM

One good thing I can say about Howard Stern - he is a very good interviewer.

Some of the jokes that he made over the years got a few chuckles from me, but became sophomoric after a while.

Ok, I'll admit it...I wanted to fuck Robin Quivers before she had her breast reduction. Even though it was a bit crass when fans and staff would make songs about her (formerly) big chest and about how they wanted to fuck her, sometimes the songs were hilarious. And yes, I couldn't stand her laughing at everything Howard said.

If this is true he had a good run. The show was at it's best when it was the 90's and slowly but surely he became Hollywood Howard and became friends with mostly every celebrity he had a problem with. Sirius is likely seeing a slow down in subscriptions and are weighing the scales. Howard likely wants out after all these years.

Yes a podcast seems like a downgrade for him at this point. At this age he can retire and just go enjoy his money.
