Whoa! I'm watching that Charlie Sheen show and John Amos is playing a gay character. I'm not homophobic, but he's the last actor I'd think to see in a role like that.

Maybe he's still in debt to Gotti for some old shit.

Or could be the tightened corn rows leaked out some brain fluid.

No problem, but I've always seen him as one of the few icons of strong black male characters on television, so I'm just surprised to see him in this role.

The industry is just infatuated with emasculating black men.

We are seen as being at the far end of the spectrum in terms of masculinity.

When this cat wore a dress in one movie and played a fag in another....I was hurt.

or maybe yall know something that I dont?

certain actors you are always going to associated them with one role and with Amos you are always going to associate him as the hard nosed no nonsense father from Good times. the first time i saw him on 2 1/2 men playing that character it just struck me as strange

Oh yeah

On that "Two and a half Men" shit, they had this cat playing the "tough Ill whip your ass role", so I guess that the writers and directors had to portray a "faggot brotha" to balance out the white male self-esteem and self-image.

Peace,

We all know how Hollywood does us but at some point these cats need to stop taking those roles, man.

At the height of Gottimania in NY, he along with Mickey Rourke and other Hollywood types were at support rallies for the cockroach.

Perhap Gotti hooked him up back in the day and he still owes some zittis.
