They once made a statement that pretty much said that, since the majority of people can't make the right choices to advance mankind, the Club of Rome shall make the choices for them. I saw no one from Iraq in the membership section.

Conspiracy or not, I've learned to associate "think tanks" with organizations that include rich and powerful men. Once you reach that elite status, they will invite you to become a member.

They plan things out far in advance. They do all this thinking, and have all this money, but they never cure any diseases, nor do they find a way to decrease the prison population, or end world hunger.

No..not necessarily true. The majority of think tanks in the world are habitated by scientest who predominantly make up the middle class. Think tanks rarely include Rich and Powerful men because contrary to popular belief, the best minds as solviing specific problems are not the same type of minds that are best at starting or running business enterprises..that all make up the legion of the world's wealthiest men.

I think you mean organizations that are politically oriented when it comes to their agenda. There are probably 100's of think thanks within your state and thousands globally all focused on various subjects..from nanotechnology to politics.

You get invited to think tanks because you exhibit the ability to do just that "think"..on some capacity you have exhibited an extraordinary mind on some particular subject matter.

However you get invited to "societies" because you have reached some type of level of influence or elite stature that would be benefial to that group. I think one needs to make the distinction between more clandestine secret societies and think tanks. They are mutually exclusive.

People kill me throwing around that phrase "conspiracy theory" like that automatically discredits the information. When you look up the word conspiracy it doesn't mean false or inaccurate all it means is:

- An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
- A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design.....

So it is a theory that suggests multiple people agreeing to commit crimes or accomplish something through illegal action. But I just thought it was funny the modern connotation of the phrase because of people's lack of empirical information and their deep sheep like behavior without investigating things themselves without the primary help of corporate controlled media. And not saying this to say you suppose to believe every "theory" out there(just like the theory terrorists want to destroy America because of it's democracy) but come up with your own conclustions AFTER you have done the research and investigating and not before.

Peace

And people kill me making assumptions about sentiments that are neither explicitely stated or vaguely implied...especially when speaking of "doing your research" first as a previous search on related topics would illustrate that I'm not rookie to the topic at hand.

Did I say anything about it descrediting the information? I asked was the organization caught up in the hoopla of conspiracy theory...i.e. like the Trilaterial Commission or New American Century or an entity that has no ability to exert any influence. There is a difference between my statement and all the assumptions you are making with your rambling.

In regard to my decisions After i've done my research. I have read books about practically every organization listed in the previous threads. That's not the issue here. Maybe that is a mirror served statement to yourself.

Dont these Mofo's come out w rules the gee-ate members have to enforce in order to maintain membership? If it is... they were on a crusade to outlaw herbs summer...Not the one they already outlawed over the use of nylon, but also turning all the other herbs into controlled substances. If they do that, then basically world wide laws will have or are being made since it was over the summer and we dont know their ruling..
