The ‘Would You Trade Wiggins for Love?’ Shootaround

I'm gonna end this Duncan vs. Love debate now: Duncan played Defense at an all NBA Defensive team level. Love doesn't. Cleveland needs to keep Wiggins and simply get a rebounding/defensive center and a stretch four. I think Wiggins could be Lebron's Kawhi Leonard/poor man's Pippen in like two years. He will guard the point/two/three, get hustle buckets and shoot the three. Irving is the playmaker/three point shooter than could play off guard as well. Lebron could do the low post/high post game with the stretch four hitting jumpers and the center grabbing rebounds.

Lebron is short sighted if he pushes for the trade. I would say fuck Minnesota and do what Carmelo should have done: play out the contract and then sign with Cleveland

:itsawrap:

Love reminds me of Bosh in Toronto. He put up numbers, but he couldn't lead his team to shit in a weak fucking eastern conference.

BINGO! but T-wolves in the West

Plus he's brittle, the great white hype machine of Love will bite Lebron in the ass. Keep Wiggins unless they'll trade Klay for him

Thompson and his long ass arms and his freakish hops is more like Leonard than Wiggins . As far as Love goes, he is constantly getting double and tripled in the paint with that weak team, on the Cavs with all the shooters, he will have to be singled every single night.

Both players are similar freaks of nature, and the Cavs would be crazy getting rid of this guy...

And for those unfamiliar with Love skill set.. Duke was constantly doubled and even tripled and still was killing them... Imagine the nightmare he will be for teams trying to double up on LeBron while keeping an eye on Wiggins, Waiters and Thompson..

I'm fucking AMAZED that people compared Kevin Love to a guy who can be clearly considered the GREATEST PF EVER :smh:. That's not fucking misprint.

He's the greatest because he has been doing what Love been doing over the past two seasons, let duke do that shit for 15 season before you start comparing his career....
Big difference...

Love has no defense. Tim Duncan has been doing more than what love has been doing for the past 15 years. Compare Love to Karl Malone (who had similar numbers over like 16 years although Love has higher rebounding numbers).

Love, like Malone, plays in a fast paced offense with a pass pg just like Malone so he is guaranteed his shots. Especially considering he jacks up a ton of shots. Is Love an all-star? Yes. A great player...eh. A stat stuffer? Yes. Better or close to the greatest PF ever:hmm: No. If you simply asked someone if they would rather have Duncan or Love at the same age what do you think they would say?

Once again, I would trade Bennett, two first rounders (I think they have Miami's first rounder), and Waiters for Love. May be replace Bennett with Thompson if I feel the deal isn't going through fast enough.

You'll never be able to compare the two because Duncan not only averages more points than him but he's been on the ALL DEFENSIVE TEAM 14 times. Stop the silly fucking comparison.

No comparison between the two. Love is not even top 1000 of all time defensively. Duncan is a top 10 defensive player in all-time ranking.

Bumped this from years ago because of the following piece:

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/3/30/17178306/surprises-disappointments-nba-season

Tjarks: Andrew Wiggins is still scoring (18.1 points a game), but he’s not doing it very efficiently (44.4 percent from the field), and he hasn’t figured out a way to impact the game without the ball in his hands. The hope was that playing for Tom Thibodeau and next to Jimmy Butler would make him a better defender, but he’s still a long way away from really channeling his athletic gifts on that end of the floor. He doesn’t have one standout skill at this point in his career beyond dribbling into inefficient shots. He’s only 23, so he has plenty of time to develop, but Minnesota is paying him like a franchise player and it will be hard for it to upgrade its supporting cast around Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns if he can’t become more than what he is at the moment.

 It's been 4 years. Was Lebron right? If this cat wasn't going to be on his shit, Lebron would have little patience for him.
