started off good then went straight down hill from there...i kept the movie on but i was on my phone the rest of the time..

The old playhouses that should have been condemned but stayed open to show classic B-movies & grindhouse cinemas in the day & all types of porn at night.
You had three movies (not included the two actual Grindhouse ones) before this one. They are all the same type of love letter to that type of cinema.
And whoever said X was better is crazy! That movie was trash!! Yeah, Thanksgiving lost its luster near the end, but it was 100 better than that can of rabbit shit that X was.
Shit was on some Scream final desitation type of time. I didn't go into with any high hopes and left entertained.

What will thow many off initially in Thanksgiving was silly opening which was goofy because the movie took a serious turn after the opening scene

You dont remember those grindhouse trailers from years ago by Eli Roth when Quentin Tarantino Rodriguez, putting out that Grindhouse movie? Finally followed up and made a full film. He actually toned it down from how the trailer was.
