Tech: Need some Cord Cutting Advice to leave Optimum...

they just raised the rates AGAIN....

got that triple play for like 155 a month and now its going up.

thinking about cutting it been reviewing the threads but when I started calculating I would STILL need internet service from Optimum and the digital antennae in my area isn't good.

So I wanted to get that Roku box and add sling hulu etc.

but I was realizing the saving wasn't all that.

Wanted to know if anyone had any luck calling the cable provider and negotiating a lower price?

Any suggestions? thanks.
 
renegotiate your contract. my chick dont have cable and i cry every-time i go over there. year the firestick or whatever helps but nothing like cable.
 
Call FIOS. Get their offer. Call Optimum and tell them the offer. They will bow down and give you all sorts of deals.

Better served just getting rid of them all together and getting KODI.

Put them in competition with someone in their area. Tell them you paying to much with them and its cheaper to go to their competitor for the same service. If they don't budge, request to cancel (set it to cancel for like a week out). Call back in a few days and speak with retention. Tellem you like they service but its too much. (they may call you back before then).
